It's hard to tell from the website, but this is an office building for some of it, but seeming floors 5 and up are independent hotels, one per floor, although they seem to share a common laundry facility on floor 5 which is also where the amazing pool is. With the pool, there are no changing facilities there, so you have to have flip flops and a big towel to go back to the room on floor 16, or get your clothes wet. The room itself was pretty good, the balcony was nice and had good views, although it wasn't as clean as I'd have liked - the slippers didn't look like they are sterilised between uses, so I wore my socks around the room and they were filthy when I took them off. Definitely wouldn't have wanted to put them into my shoes! The biggest disappointment with the room is that they don't provide real towels, only single use disposable towels, which aren't quite sufficient to get dry, and only one big and one small per person. The shower door also wasn't sealed at the bottom so when I went to the toilet later, I discovered a massive puddle that soaked my sock, and obviously I had no spare towel to dry my feet. Also, it made going to the swimming pool really inconvenient. All the other guests at the pool had normal hotel style bath towels, so it seems this is the only hotel that doesn't bother with them... Finally, it's hard to get to from the main road, you have to pull your luggage 600m from the bus stop, and if you get a taxi, the area around here is really congested so they take a long time to come (over 10 minutes for Didi).

Absolutely fantastic experience. The room was incredibly high-tech with face-unlock doors, a projector for watching movies, automatic blinds and a toilet straight out of a spaceship. There was even a comprehensive clothes washing service that meant we would come back to our room to find everything dry and neatly hung up. The breakfast was much better than the average hotel buffet with plenty of fresh fruit and a wide variety of mainland dishes as well as a few local dishes. Every single member of staff was willing to go to great lengths to help us regardless of the request. One evening after myself and my partner were injured in an ebike accident (be careful on those roads!) I was badly grazed in several places, showed up to the hotel covered in blood and dust. One member of staff dived behind the counter and produced a box of antiseptic swabs and plasters. Realising these wouldn't be enough for the size of the wounds he escorted us to a walk-in centre using the hotel transport shuttles and accompanied us inside. After being turned away (they didn't treat injuries) the hotel shuttle drove us to a pharmacy and waited outside while we were talked through the available options (bandages, disinfectants etc) all the while telling us personal stories of e-bike related misfortune. That's just one of many examples of outstanding service, truly impressed.

You don't have to worry about eating, drinking and shopping near the hotel, the taste and price vary from person to person. There is a free shuttle bus downstairs (it will get off work) that can run around Gaozhuang; there are also Snoopy and shared bicycles/battery cars. It’s really difficult to book a ride-hailing service during the peak tourist season (even in scenic spots). The butler service is five stars, but the room service can be improved. I stayed for three days and once during my extended stay, I forgot to clean the room and replenish daily consumables. My friend and I had a great Xishuangbanna experience staying at this hotel. The room is spacious enough and the large river view balcony was very enjoyable during the times when there was not construction noise; if you are planning to stay here, I would advise first calling ahead to ask whether the construction is ongoing. The pool is very nice, although not very secluded from the public walking path, and so not as private I one might hope. The build quality of the rooms and all the fixtures and fittings in the hotel is exceptional, everything functioned and had been decorated to a high standard. For such a nice hotel, the breakfast was very disappointing; Despite being called Le Parisien, they do not have a coffee machine, nor did they have butter for the toast.
