Reviews of Hotel Suimeikan

Despite it is old the hotel has many guests. We did have a very big room 302 for 5 of us, 3 bedrooms but the toilet and bathroom smell. We used onsen during our stay. Dinner and breakfast are buffet and they repeat the same everyday. Kind of boring after the second day.

It is really good hotel with reasonable price.

The best value for money. The Japanese-style rooms are well maintained, and the tatami and bedding are very comfortable. The hot springs are good, and the food is even better. Otherwise, there is really nothing to eat in Japan. Even if you eat for a week, there are only a few kinds. Their wagyu hot pot, wagyu tofu hot pot, etc. are all super good. The hotel is not far from the station and is very convenient, which is much more convenient than living in a hot spring town.

Very worthwhile. In the evening, there is a free beer buffet.

It's close to Yudanaka Station. If you go about 200 meters from the hotel, there's a bus terminal on the Yudanaka side. Shiga Kogen Ski Resort and Snow Monkey are easily accessible. There is a convenience store nearby 100m away, but not many nearby stores are open, so there is nothing much to see. However, you can enjoy plenty of hot springs and an arcade in the hotel. There is also a massage machine so you can have fun inside. The food is buffet style, but I liked the beef nabe for dinner so much. I can't forget, you can have unlimited wine, beer, and sake for dinner!!👍 Most of them are family, friends and colleagues, so there are a lot of elderly people. This is a great hot spring hotel.

I booked three rooms and were placed next to the shared toilet outside the bathhouse. In addition to the terrible smell, it was also very noisy with people coming and going. Later, after negotiation, we were moved to two single rooms on the same floor that were far away from the bathing area and shared toilets. I feel that the space configuration of the entire hotel is not reasonable. The equipment in the room is old; the environmental cleaning work is not very good, and the window frames are visible to the naked eye. The shower head of the bathroom equipment in the room has a small amount of water. I can't comment without having dinner, but there are not many choices for breakfast. Maybe I can't ask for better service at this price. In short, I feel sorry that this accommodation arrangement made my family feel bad.

There was a huge fan downstairs that started starting at three in the morning, making it basically impossible to sleep. Spent a long time in the lobby. The hotel facilities are too old. You absolutely cannot live on the side facing the mountain.

This is my second time staying here. The hotel has a free private parking lot. You can choose your favorite yukata next to the front desk. The rooms are Japanese-style and spacious, so you can relax. As it is an Itoen Hotels inn, alcohol is included in the price of the stay. It is great that it is all-you-can-drink. The buffet-style dinner is on the second floor. There is a large menu, with delicious dishes such as maitake mushroom tempura, soba noodles, and stewed eggplant. Breakfast is also served in the same venue. The menu changes from dinner, so it was delicious. I was able to relax in the large hot spring bath and my travel fatigue was blown away. It is an inn where you can stay and enjoy the food and hot springs at a reasonable price, so it is worth it.

We stayed at Hotel Suimeikan for one night from May 3rd for our wedding anniversary. Since the prices are high during Golden Week, we only stayed for breakfast. For dinner, we decided to go to a restaurant in the hotel and made a reservation at a restaurant called Baden Baden, which was listed on the menu in the room. As I am a pensioner, I made a reservation because they had a reasonable course of 5 dishes for 5,500 yen per person. When the reservation time came, we sat down at the restaurant and were shown a menu, but there was no course for 5,500 yen for the room, and there were no options for a minimum of 5 dishes, with courses ranging from 9,900 yen to 12,000 yen per person. There were other customers there, so we had no choice but to go for the 9,900 yen course, but if the food was delicious, I would have been happy, but it wasn't that delicious, so I wasn't happy. If the prices were going to be higher during Golden Week, I would have been able to make other choices if they had changed the prices on the menu in the room or made it known at the time of booking. I have no complaints about Suimeikan, but this restaurant Burden Burden made our wedding anniversary a bad one. I'm disappointed!
