Was fine, but a bit out of the way, even cab drivers said as much. The family running this homestay were nice and attentive, and were more than happy to drive you out to nearest bus stop every day. If you want to stay in a traditional cave dwelling/yaodong, this is a good choice. I will say that I had a bit of an allergic reaction there to the bedding though, so if you have sensitive skin, it may not be the best. It was very clean though and well furnished, and was very pretty on the interior. I do think on the whole it added to my sense of what it was like to live in Yan’an and a greater feeling of experiencing history rather than just reading about it.

The rooms are clean and tidy. If you're looking for a cave dwelling experience, this is a good option. It's very close to the Jin Yan'an scenic area and the Yan'an North highway exit. The owners are also very kind.
