Environment: It's a genuine cave dwelling. Because it's located in a village, the journey is a bit rustic. The owner called ahead to remind us, which made the experience more enjoyable and allowed us to appreciate the natural beauty. Hygiene: It can't compare to a hotel. Being right outside the door, it's dusty and there are bound to be some insects. Those with a strong aversion to dirt should be cautious and avoid this option. Facilities: The owner has done a great job. Everything you need is there, showing care and attention: smart controls, TV stand adjustment, fresh air system… Service: A big thumbs up to the owner – a man of few words but decisive action, clear thinking, and strong execution. No wasted words, just keeping his word. After seeing so many insincere smiles and empty pleasantries from the service industry on the road, this owner is a breath of fresh air. I picked this hotel as a jump-off point to visit Guanquan Canyon and Jingbian Wave Valley. It's located in Baota district of Yan'an. The location is great as it's only five minutes walk from the Yan'an High Speed Railway Station. Even if you have big luggage like mine, it's still manageable walk to the hotel. The hotel reception was wonderful. One of the girls, unfortunately I didn't take her name, was extremely helpful and tried hard to retrieve the packages I ordered to the hotel from several storage locations for me. It shows that she was dedicated to her job to assist guests without complaints. Breakfast is available and included in my reservation. It's standard Chinese breakfast. They even provided warm orange juice which I surprisingly like. The hotel has a self-service laundry room with free detergent. This is a great plus for me. The only complain I may have is, although this is not a unique situation in China, the stinkiness of cigarette smoking in the room and corridor. Thankfully it's March when I visited as I had to close window as cigarette smell came through the window. This is very unfortunate indeed.

This is my second time here. The room is clean, tidy, and well-arranged. It's equipped with a smart assistant, and they even have a robot for room service. The hotel pays attention to requests and called me beforehand to ask if I needed airport pickup. The front desk staff are gentle and thoughtful. Although the hotel's location is a bit out of the way, Yan'an is a small city. As long as you're not going to the New Area, a 10-minute taxi ride will get you anywhere. Getting to Erdao Street also only takes about ten minutes.

The hotel's location next to Wanda Plaza is really convenient. It's about a twenty-minute walk to Baota Mountain and not far from Qingliang Mountain. You can take a taxi to the top of Qingliang Mountain for panoramic city views. Plus, the nearby bus stops make it easy to get to Zaoyuan, the museum, and the Yangjialing Revolutionary Site. The hotel service is good, and the front desk staff are very friendly and responsive to any issues. For late check-out, they charge a fee based on the room type: 20 for a double room and 30 for a triple. It's a nice option to extend your stay and rest a bit, especially if you have a later departure.

We booked the Hanting Hotel for our trip to Hukou Waterfall with our child. The room was clean and bright, the bedding was so comfortable that our child fell asleep immediately, and the heating was so strong it felt like the warm sunshine of northern Shaanxi had been brought into the room. Surprisingly, the hotel had a screen mirroring feature, which was very nice! There's a local food street downstairs, and the hotel breakfast was quite good, with noodles and steamed buns, which our child enjoyed very much. The lobby was spacious and airy, making it a comfortable place for our family to wait for our bus and relax. Our comfortable stay made the view of Hukou Waterfall even more spectacular! Especially considering its proximity to Hukou, it's the perfect hotel for a trip to Hukou.

We arrived in the evening. It's not far from Baota Mountain, in the Baota District. Parking is a bit difficult; there are very limited spaces. However, the overall environment is quite nice. The room cleanliness was just average. The bed was large and comfortable. It's a good choice for traveling with children and family! The service was very good, but the breakfast was a bit too simple.

Very convenient location, 5 minutes walks from Yan An Railway station. Though is not in the main CBD, can catch many buses to go downtown. We had booked a non smoking room, but was given a smoking room instead, when we asked for the change, hotel staff sent housekeeping to take away ash tray and spray the room with air freshener which didn’t work and said that it was beyond their control if others to smoke inside the room. After some insistence then only the staff acceded to our request. The recovery service was then followed with daily provision of fresh salads and breakfast voucher which we were much appreciated for these token.

Very satisfactory 3 nights stay at Jinze hotel during our recent visit to Yan’an. Hotel room is clean and spacious, bed is comfortable. Very strategic location at the city centre, walkable to QingLiang Hill and the famous food street. Getting a taxi or DIDI is easy. We enjoyed the breakfast served in the hotel which comes with good variety and mostly local dishes. What impressed me most is the friendly staffs who are always enthusiastic to offer help and travel advice. The hotel in-house restaurants offer delicious food that comes with very reasonable price. Not surprisingly that we had several enjoyable meals at the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff also offered us free souvenirs when we checked out. Appreciate the kind gesture very much 😁. No doubt I would recommend this hotel to anyone who will visit Yan’an.

The hotel front desk staff has a good attitude. The hotel is located in the center of the county. Parking is convenient and check-in is quick. The room is large, with free mineral water and breakfast. The facilities are complete and the price is relatively affordable. At the same time, there are preferential policies for current and retired military personnel.
