VALLEY HOUSE

When I first saw this place had zero negative reviews, I was skeptical. But after staying two nights, I totally get why! It will definitely be my go-to guesthouse every time I visit Yangshuo again. This isn't just any ordinary guesthouse; both the facilities and the service make you feel right at home and comfortable. The hotel's design isn't trendy or 'influencer-style,' but it's incredibly tasteful and thoughtfully done. You can tell the owner invested a lot of money and effort into it! What truly stands out, however, is the service. If you stay here in Yangshuo, you don't even need to plan your itinerary; just ask the owner, and they'll sort everything out perfectly. The driver the owner recommended was also super friendly and reliable. The breakfast here is excellent, but even more impressive are the main meals. The beer fish, bamboo chicken, wild bamboo shoots, Li River shrimp, stuffed snails, and Longji eggplant were all delicious. The fish was clearly fresh, and the chicken was that rich, fatty farm-raised kind. The bamboo shoots were incredibly tender and fresh. Honestly, there's no need to eat out at other restaurants. Plus, the guesthouse provides laundry detergent, a washing basin, alcohol wipes, mosquito repellent, aloe vera, and earplugs – basically everything you could possibly think of, and even things you wouldn't! Even the driver we had mentioned that this guesthouse is famous for its thoughtful service, and everyone who stays here raves about it (and the driver isn't even an employee of the guesthouse).

This hotel is a hidden gem in Xingping! The owner goes above and beyond for guests, from picking them up at the high-speed rail station and offering welcome fruits and drinks upon check-in, to recommending attractions, chatting with kids, helping guests hail taxis during peak hours, and even providing delicious late-night snacks. They even offer a farewell gift upon check-out – truly, every detail is taken care of. The staff are also incredibly patient and polite, making you feel right at home. The breakfast suited our entire family's taste, and the rocking horse, toys, and small stools in the common area kept the kids entertained for ages. They also provide kid-sized slippers and toiletries, and the pillows are comfortable. Highly recommended!

This is the most satisfying hotel I've stayed at in Hainan during my road trip from Henan. Everyone, from the owner to the front desk ladies, was incredibly warm and attentive. The hotel restaurant, in particular, was fantastic – both breakfast and dinner were delicious! A big shout-out to the chef! I'll definitely miss the food. The hotel's location is also very convenient, close to the '20 Yuan Scenic Spot' and the Li River bamboo raft ferry. The accommodations were clean, tidy, very quiet, and not at all noisy. Highly recommend!

The landlady's recommendations were very detailed, and the local souvenirs were quite unique. I recommend the night cruise on the Li River; you can see cormorant fishing, which is a lot of fun. Just a heads up, it gets cold and a bit dark on the river at night. Although breakfast was simple, everything was prepared with care. We ate at the hotel every day during our stay; the food was delicious and very clean and hygienic. I highly recommend the bamboo chicken; it's both tasty and comforting! Drinking the soup after a riverside stroll made me feel all warm inside. ❤️

This was by far the most satisfying homestay experience I've had. Firstly, 1. The location is excellent, right by the Li River, about 600 meters from Chaobanshan Pier and 900 meters from the 20 Yuan banknote photo spot. It's also 2 KM along the riverside boardwalk from the perfect photography spot for the Reflection of Yellow Cloth, offering stunning views with fewer crowds. 2. The cleanliness rivals a five-star hotel. Every nook and cranny was spotless, and the room was thoughtfully equipped with amenities like alcohol wipes and a laundry basin. 3. The rustic decor is incredibly charming, and the hostess is very welcoming. She helped carry our luggage to the room and provided fruits, ginger tea, and other refreshments in the lobby, along with detailed travel tips (she had already sent us an itinerary and important notes beforehand). We arrived during a cold, rainy spell, and she warned us that the bamboo raft ride would be chilly, even preparing raincoats, padded jackets, and hats for us. Without them, we surely would have caught a cold. Thanks to her, our trip was very enjoyable with no unpleasant surprises. 4. While the hotel breakfast isn't lavish, it's very thoughtfully prepared. The rice noodles, yogurt, and dumplings were all delicious and satisfying. We also had dinner at the hotel, and the food was good and reasonably priced. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and enjoyable trip. We'd definitely come back if we have the chance.

I've stayed in many hotels, but this is the first time I've been truly satisfied. It's a guesthouse that's almost impossible to fault. From the owner to the staff, everyone was incredibly welcoming, making me feel right at home. The hotel is located within the scenic area, and you can see the mountains right from your bed. The interior design is a charming vintage style – simple, elegant, and sophisticated. Every corner is picture-perfect. Both the breakfast and regular meals from their private kitchen were delicious, and even the tableware was clearly carefully selected, showing the owner's excellent taste. When checking out, the owner even kindly gave us a lot of tangerines for our journey. All in all, if I go to Yangshuo again, this will definitely be my top choice.
