Mid-mountain Cloud & Water Hotel

The hotel room is quite spacious, with a simple, bright, and clean decor. Opening the curtains reveals a stunning river view. The hotel is located in a quiet village, making for a peaceful night's sleep. There are also many local farm-to-table restaurants nearby, making dining and getting around very convenient. The infinity pool on the rooftop offers great views, and the breakfast spread is quite generous – more than enough for our family of three. The hotel is just a few hundred meters from Chaobanshan Pier, about a 6-8 minute walk. Getting around by electric scooter is also very easy.

The service was attentive and the environment was good. The only slight drawback was the somewhat limited breakfast. The hotel is directly opposite Yuanbao Mountain. The main issue with this area is that the dining options are expensive and not very good. It seems like these are independently run establishments, not part of any organized system, and they operate with a 'one-time sale' mentality. The hotel itself is fine; my comments are about the surrounding area.

The long-haired driver who picked me up was enthusiastic and professional, with excellent and steady driving skills. He knew the routes well and was very efficient. The room was cozy and comfortable, the environment beautiful and livable, and it was also great for working. I truly loved it, truly loved it!

I highly recommend this guesthouse! They offer a free pick-up service from Yangshuo Station. All the staff, from the owner to the service team, are handsome local guys who know the backroads to avoid traffic jams in Xingping Ancient Town. The rooms have a fridge with complimentary chilled drinks. My favorite part is the rooftop pool; the water is super clean and perfect for photos, and the photo bench is a great touch. It's a five-story building with an elevator. They even have ethnic costumes available for guests to wear for free. I'll definitely choose this place again if I have the chance. It's a shame my itinerary was so tight, I didn't have time to try on the costumes and take pictures.

They upgraded our room to a huge one with a large bathtub and stunning views of the Li River. My kid absolutely loved it. There's also a swimming pool on the top floor, perfect for a dip or some Instagram-worthy photos. The pickup service was incredibly thoughtful too.

Hygiene: Clean. Service: The young man who served us was very kind and friendly. He even helped us carry our luggage upstairs and cooked breakfast! Facilities: I guess it's a guesthouse, so the facilities are what you'd expect for a guesthouse. Overall, it's pretty good. It's close to the '20 yuan' photo spot, but a bit far from the ancient town. An electric scooter would be better. The ancient town isn't very big. I wish I had known that; there's not much to do or eat there, so I wouldn't have stayed a night.

The environment is great, perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. The amenities are comprehensive, and there's a bar. The river is just a few meters away, and there's a popular 'Sky Mirror' photo spot nearby.

After spending several days in Guilin city, I finally made it back to Yangshuo! 🌸 My first stop this time was still the enchanting Xingping Ancient Town, which I've been dreaming about! Of course, I had to snap a picture with the 20 RMB banknote backdrop ~ And I even stayed in my dream room at the Yangshuo Banshan Yunshui Hotel (20 RMB Backdrop View)! 🏨 This incredible hotel, which has been open for over a decade, is genuinely trending all over the internet! 🔥 It's been flooding Xiaohongshu! It's right on the Li River, with breathtaking views at every turn! The super romantic garden restaurant is right at the entrance, and I even caught the cacti blooming when I was there! 🌵✨ I was so lucky this time to book a large double room with a bathtub! The round, oversized bathtub in the room was absolutely fantastic ~ And there are huge floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can lie on the tatami bed and enjoy the picturesque landscape of the Li River! 🌊🏔️ The biggest surprise was this! Just a few minutes' walk to the left of the hotel entrance leads you to the 20 RMB banknote backdrop viewing platform, and further to the left, you can explore the charming, ancient Xingping Town ~ You can visit two must-see attractions on foot! 👣 On the morning after check-in, from 8-10 AM, there's an incredibly rich breakfast! 😋 You can eat your fill of Guilin rice noodles, and there's a nine-compartment snack platter, milk, and Luo Han Guo tea – everything!
