10/10PerfectA charming boutique hotel in a beautiful setting and convenient location. The traditional Chinese architecture and grounds/gardens are gorgeous. The room was fabulous, clean and well maintained, with antique Chinese furniture and modern high quality fixtures, and well equipped with dehumidifier, anti-mosquito device, clothes dryer, water filter, Japanese toilet, etc. The service was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. Jima village is really charming, and it is only a few kilometers from Yangshuo and Xi Jie (can walk to Xi Jie within an hour - about 5 KM) so it is easy to get taxis to/from the hotel and can ride bicycles to town in one direction or to Yulong River in the other direction. The free bikes were really useful. The breakfasts were really nice. We stayed a week, and didn't want to leave.

Ancient Garden Botique Hostel really lets you experience ancient China. From the alley to the entrance, to the public areas and the traditional Chinese inspired garden, it perfectly blends to the karst landscape of Yangshuo. The villa where we stayed took us to another era, the smell of the wood, the design of the house, and the furnitures are on point ancient. The amenities are superb. You can lounge at the bar or stayed at the restaurant and just enjoy the view. I will say I will book again, but its pricey. It was a great experience. Would recommend this place if you want a quality stay.
