Shell Hotel(Yantai Railway Station Joy City Store)

This hotel room even has disposable pillowcases! No plastic slippers either! I had to ask for them! And the ones they brought were so dirty!!! Like they were picked out of a trash can! I was so frustrated! The lighting in the room is very dim, and the bathroom is even darker! You can't even see to put on makeup in the mirror! There's a water dispenser in the hallway that everyone uses because the kettle in the room is just for show!! This place is terrible, it feels like staying in a basement! They're just using the 'GreenTree Inn' name as a front!!!! You have to ask for every single amenity! This is the most expensive and worst hotel I've ever stayed in! It's just a small guesthouse! Everyone, please think twice before booking! There were even live critters crawling around in the basement!!!!!

The bathroom reeked of stale urine, and the bed felt damp. After a long, tiring day of sightseeing, all I wanted was to quickly check in and lie down, but the check-in process was incredibly slow, like a snail. The front desk staff seemed inexperienced! At other hotels, check-in is always much faster! Checked in on the evening of August 4, 2026.

Right across from Yantai Station, this is my go-to for business trips. The facilities are a bit old and not super clean, but overall, it's good.

The room was clean, tidy, and spotless. It was a small room but very cozy. The front desk lady was very welcoming and enthusiastic. The hotel is very close to the train station, making transportation very convenient.
