Good place

After arriving & settling in we decided to use the gas top & microwave etc we had what appeared to be the auto ignition on the stove but it did not work and no matches of course by this time the office had closed. No information was available in our ensuite cabin, when we visited the office we were told we don’t supply information it is your responsibility to access our website for any relevant Information. They didn’t see any reason to notify guests on arrival or booking about having to use their website to access any important information. You wouldn’t believe it when visiting the office we were told a battery lighter was in the 2nd cutlery drawer, bloody amazing. Simple steps to use the microwave would have also been useful. The worst shower we have used in 3 states so small with no control you were either burnt or cold. Damaged blinds, bedrooms so small with hardly any room between the bed & side wall. We had booked the ensuite cabin as a member of our Probus Clubs group booking cost $179 per night. When letting the office know we had not received our hand towel or face washer we were told for the 1st time our ensuite cabin was entry level & didn’t receive them. My reply was less than pleased with this & they supplied them as an exception. wonderful customer service. We love Yarrawonga & have enjoyed previous holidays at privately owned Properties. Just so disappointing that a Council owned operation is not an icon of the region. Regards Mal & Karen

Absolutely disgraceful experience at Yarrawonga Holiday Park. We paid $2,720 for an 8-night stay in a “self-contained” cabin and received conditions that fell well below basic expectations for paid accommodation. Only TWO rolls of toilet paper were provided for 8 people for the entire stay, and we were told there would be no cleaning or servicing of the cabin at all. For a business charging premium prices, providing basic hygiene necessities and reasonable standards of living should be the absolute minimum. Instead, it felt like cost-cutting at the expense of guests — saving money on cleaners and essential supplies while still charging full top-dollar rates, especially when the park is busy. When we raised these concerns, staff were rude, dismissive, and showed no interest in resolving the issue. The attitude toward paying customers was shocking and completely unprofessional. No guest paying thousands of dollars should have to chase basic amenities or tolerate conditions below fundamental living standards. Extremely poor value for money, unacceptable customer service, and a deeply disappointing experience overall. Would not recommend.

We stayed at Yarrawonga Holiday Park during very heavy rain and requested vehicle access to the shared area as we had infants and young children in our group. Despite explaining the safety concern, our request was denied, even though one group member was allowed access, which felt unfair. The kids had to get in and out in the pouring rain, which was unsafe and uncomfortable. It was disappointing that the management dismissed our concerns, especially given the weather and the presence of small children. We hope the park considers being more understanding and consistent in such situations.

pillows were old and extremely thin, and the cushions on the main bed were grubby, so you could not use them to make the pillows more comfortable. the fan in the main bedroom was very wonky and noisy when on high. The aircon was not on when we checked in around 2pm on a 35 degree day. We stayed in river front deluxe cabin, which had a nice view, but inside the cabin was not up to the standard of the price charged. Reception staff were very good.

Very convenient location to walk into town. I also liked how close it was to Mulwala. The pool was ok for a quick dip but could do with a good clean.

Location suited us and we could easily walk to the town centre

Would be lovely for families although if I was travelling with young children I would be concerned about the height and steepness of the river bank, but I am a solo traveller in a self contained MH. I didn’t use any of their amenities other than power o/n , filled my water tank and paid $5 to use the laundry. Although their website said $45 I was charged $52 as they said the Monday evening I was there was peak season. Thankfully there are numerous free camp sites along the river which is where I’ll go next time.

Keep the kids busy. Person running the place was very helpful to let us know the best places to go and eat. Helped with cruise on Lake for us. Facilities were able to keep the kids entertained well. Nice looking out on river with a few ales at hand.
