Had a great stay at Chateau Yering. The homestead and grounds were a good getaway location. Not far into town for everything else. Thankyou.

Friendly service counter at a great property. The room is spacious and clean. Recommend the restaurant nearby and wine tasting.

Public transport isn't great in the area, so we drove there. And to my surprise, I stumbled upon another 'hotel of my life' experience. The environment was impeccable, and the staff were incredibly professional and enthusiastic. The hotel's decor and details were meticulously thought out. On the downside, the facilities are a bit dated; for instance, there are no charging ports next to the bed. The cleanliness was just okay; the bathroom curtains had dust on them. The winery itself was quite underwhelming, with the tasting experience feeling very much like a typical tour group reception, falling far short of the neighboring LV winery. However, the complimentary small Penfolds wine and crisps upon check-in were a nice touch.

I would definitely come back to this hotel again. But I have to say, this hotel is more suited to people who appreciate historic and retro-style properties, as it is over 100 years old and some facilities are dated. However, that is also part of the hotel’s historic style. The room was very spacious, almost 40 sqm, with a large balcony where you can relax and enjoy the view. The retro-style decor was lovely, and the king-size bed was soft and comfortable — I had a great sleep. The welcome drinks and snacks were a nice touch and made the stay feel very warm and homely. One thing to note is that the app states this is a 24/7 hotel，however the reception actually closes at 5 PM, so make sure to plan ahead and arrange a late check-in if needed. Also, we searched everywhere — the wardrobe, drawers, and bathroom — but could not find a hairdryer. I’m not sure whether the hotel does not provide one, or if it was simply missing from our room.

I'm not entirely sure, but it definitely felt like a five-star hotel. The facilities have a classic charm, and the decor creates a wonderful ambiance. All the amenities, including the bed and sofa, are of good quality, and the room itself is very spacious. They also provide better complimentary in-room items than most hotels, such as cookies and beverages. However, perhaps because it's a traditional, century-old luxury hotel, the bathroom has an older-style design without a floor drain. This means you need to be careful when showering or using water, as it can easily lead to puddles on the floor. Additionally, there's a large, well-maintained lawn right outside the back door of the room. It looks especially beautiful in the morning and truly reinforces that traditional luxury hotel feel. The staff's overall service quality is excellent, though it's a bit of a shame there isn't a 24-hour front desk. I also found it quite challenging to reach the hotel online; emails went unanswered, and calling the official website number didn't connect me with anyone. Ultimately, I had to use the specific phone number they provided at the door during check-in.

The room was very spacious, and the bathroom was nicely separated from the main area. The vintage style decor throughout was truly beautiful. Dinner was a bit on the expensive side, and even with the translated menu, it was quite difficult to understand the dishes. The wine, however, was pretty good. The manager even mentioned that they rarely receive Chinese guests. Finding the hotel can be a little tricky; even with map navigation, it's easy to go wrong. You have to look for a white building and then follow a long, narrow alleyway. I ended up asking several people for directions. Once inside, the hotel's interior is also very aesthetically pleasing and picturesque, making it a great spot for anyone who loves taking photos.

Chateau Yering is in a beautiful setting, and conveniently co-located with Yering Station’s restaurant and cellar door. While Chateau Yering boasts ‘luxury’, the reality is that the heritage buildings are looking tired, the gardens are not as manicured as they have been, and some of the facilities, such as the pool, were not available - and clearly have not been for some time. It’s a beautiful spot, peaceful and a wonderful base centrally located in the Yarra Valley. The rooms are generous in size and well presented, but the buildings require maintenance and upkeep.

For an accomodation just out of suburban area charging $200/ night - rooms very dated with heavily worn and stained carpet - room amenities poor - an old electric jug and instant coffee is not up to modern expectations - balcony dirty - understanding CY is a classic homestead it appears very tired and in disrepair - office hours not within expectation for contemporary accommodation

We had a wonderful stay at Chateau Yering, the staff were so friendly and accommodating and the venue was stunning! Would stay again :)

Booked this hotel as we attended a wedding next door at Yering Station. Pics dont do this place justice. It is a big room with everything well thought of. Love the bath amenities. I would be back! Great place to escape city living.

The place was spotless, and the starry sky was absolutely breathtaking.

Very nice wine and high tea, very pleasant experience

It’s a nice old skool chateau. Gives u the country western movie scene and rooms. Loved the room and the views were amazing. Water pressure and hot water (esp for winter) was great! Svcs was very Aussie and u just got to get used to them only working specific hours, so if u come late or too early be prepared for figuring it out slower. Overall still a great experience! We would come back!

It's a nice place to stay; the vibe is good, and the surroundings are beautiful. The room is spacious and comfortable. Overall, it is excellent.
