The first time I lived in a house with 200 years of history! Parts of it looks like a museum, but the rooms are modernized in a nice way! Seriously, it looks like a fancy tea place or a private mansion, never expected a hotel like this! The owner lady was very nice, showed the way to the place (navigation in the village is a bit difficult for a newcomer) and helped to change the room to a single bed when heard that my friend was not coming. Very friendly approach! I would recommend this place to anyone, who would like to get an authentic experience of Hongcun village!

Very gorgeous room in the centre of Hongcun, attached to a lovely family restaurant (where I would recommend having your dinner!) Our room was in a little courtyard on the lake.

Wonderful stay. Xiao Yang (小杨) was very warm and welcoming from beginning to end. She helped arrange our ticket entrance to the ancient city and afterward our transport to Yellow Mountain. The location is perfect within the old city and the courtyard setting was very charming.

To be honest, I spent the New Year very happily~ The village was very lively and there were many tourists. Cannons were not allowed in the village, but there was a parade in the evening! The stream is very lively. You can also see the fireworks outside the village. The room was cold at night and I didn’t take a shower. I still need to wear warm shoes. It may have gotten better recently.
Here there are mountains, lush forests and bamboos! So beautiful!
Get up early and see the view! Watch village activities at night! Drink tea and enjoy the view!
