My kids absolutely loved it! It's so charming and traditional, with plenty of picturesque bridges and flowing water. There were lots of older students sketching, and the elderly enjoyed morning strolls around Xidi. It really brightened everyone's mood. We hope to visit again next time. Service: Everything was excellent.

What a pleasant surprise this hotel was! Staying inside the scenic area was definitely worth it. It's right in the heart of the main attractions, and the hotel itself is located next to the most beautiful corner. I booked it last minute and didn't expect such comfort for such a low price.

This guesthouse, a converted old residence from the Ming and Qing dynasties, truly feels like stepping back in time. As you push open the door and ascend the wooden stairs, the intricate carvings, painted beams, and traditional black bricks and gray tiles make you feel as if you've traveled through time. This is truly the essence of staying in Xidi.

The bed was quite comfortable, and it's nice to stay in the village, but because it's a village, it feels a bit old-fashioned. The owner was quite kind though. The room was a bit hard to find and a bit far from the main entrance. The soundproofing wasn't great, and I could smell cigarette smoke from the next room. Overall, the room had a rustic charm, and for the price in Xidi, it's acceptable.

Hygiene: When checking out, the cleaner was making the bed, and I saw some dirty yellow stains inside the quilt. There was also a mouse repeller in the room, and I heard mice moving around in the ceiling at night. Facilities: The facilities are pretty standard for a village dwelling. The parking lot costs 20 RMB per day. After parking, you have to walk about 500 meters to the guesthouse's check-in hall, and then another 300 meters or so to the guesthouse after checking in, which is very inconvenient. Environment: It has an antique charm and is quiet outside. However, the soundproofing is poor; I could clearly hear my neighbor snoring at night, which is understandable for a wooden house. Service: There's a luggage cart service from the parking lot to the check-in hall (500 meters), but the path from the check-in hall to the guesthouse (300 meters) is very narrow, so you have to carry your own luggage.

The rooms are located inside Xidi scenic area. The way to the rooms is bumpy so if you can, consider a backpack instead of wheels. The house is well maintained and cleaned daily. Obviously, you'll hear everything your neighbours do, so bring some earplugs. Overall the room is really comfy so I slept well. Grateful for the opportunity to experience history in this way.
