I booked this hotel for a week on a business trip for convenience, and the experience was terrible:
1. The air conditioning in the room didn't maintain a constant temperature. A slight decrease in the temperature caused a whirring sound, making me feel hot and cold while sleeping. I caught a cold and a sore throat on my second day. The air conditioning was also extremely noisy.
2. The room was completely soundproof. Even on the 21st floor, I could clearly hear the traffic outside the hotel. Car horns were often blaring before 7 a.m.
3. The breakfast was mediocre. They didn't check breakfast coupons upon entering the restaurant, but checked every table during dinner, just like checking high-speed rail tickets.
4. Most unacceptable was the front desk's indifferent attitude. Upon check-in, I was asked to bring a bag of toilet paper to my room, but it wasn't delivered until I called again. On June 12th, at noon, I inquired about invoicing, and was told it could only be issued through Ctrip. Further inquiries were not received. That evening, I discovered that Ctrip could only issue invoices for travel services. I contacted the front desk, but the female receptionist simply told me to contact Ctrip myself without any help. I couldn't get through to Ctrip, and it wasn't until we argued that a supervisor came to help. (After several twists and turns, we finally received an invoice for the accommodations.) When I sought help from the front desk, there were few other guests, and they preferred to look at their computers rather than address us.
All in all, this rating is based on the courteous cleaning lady. I highly recommend this hotel for business trips. It's a hassle with accommodations, service, and reimbursement.
I've been on business trips so many times, and I've almost tolerated the hotel's shortcomings just to save trouble. This is the first time I've written a negative review. It's truly terrible.
