Reviews of Champagne Hotel

The facilities are indeed outdated and really need a renovation, especially the bathroom. The room rate was quite expensive during Chinese New Year. Its proximity to the city and the friendly staff were probably the only redeeming qualities.

In general it keeps amazing me how little value for money you get in hotels in Taiwan. Overpriced, worn down, mediocre service, at best. Champagne Hotel was not an exception in this. Travelling solo and looking for a cheap place to arrive late and leave early, my expectations were low. And it delivered. I would not take friends or family here.

I like this hotel because they allow us to bring our dog, very friendly people and even though the hotel is pretty old, but it has everything that you need to get a comfortable stay, from hot spring to a good night of sleep at a very reasonable price for locals and foreign visitors, parking is also included onsite or a big parking lot about 100 meters away.

The location is nice and comfortable. Good environment.

Infested with cockroaches One was running around in my room while I went downstairs to tell the front desk another shows up. Hot spring area is dated and needs maintenance

The hotel has a balcony with a great view, super convenient transportation, free parking, and excellent value for money. The rooms have comfortable wooden floors and are spacious enough. 24-hour hot spring access is a plus!

The location is convenient with excellent surrounding amenities; the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hot spring is a great place to soak, allowing you to completely relax both body and mind.

It exceeded my expectations in a good way. This old hotel is located along the river, about a 10-minute walk from the Jiaoxi bus terminal. The exterior was dilapidated and clearly showing signs of aging. The room I was assigned was a suite with a small table and wooden chairs at the entrance, but the window faced a parking lot, so there was no view. The wooden chairs without backrests were also uncomfortable, making it difficult to relax. The underground hot spring, open from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, is very large and offers both hot and cold springs at 40 degrees Celsius. As the reviews said, half of the jacuzzi was broken and covered in cobwebs, and the sauna was closed, but the smooth hot spring water was refreshing, and I had it almost to myself, so I was able to soothe my fatigue from my long 12-hour journey from home. Since you enter the hot spring wearing a swimsuit and hat, it would be nice if there was a clothesline in the room so I could dry my clothes. In Taiwan, there are dehydrators, but I have never seen a clothesline. I would like them to provide a simple clothesline. Breakfast was not provided as it was for group guests, but there were convenience stores, bento shops and other places to eat nearby so it wasn't a problem. The staff were friendly and spoke English and Japanese. I would definitely come again at this price.
