I recently stayed at the Marriott Executive Apartments, and my experience was extremely disappointing. I booked through Trip.com, which clearly stated that all guests from all regions and countries are welcome. However, upon arrival, the hotel failed to inform me of a discriminatory local policy that caused significant problems during my stay.
Late at night, the police came into my room unannounced, creating a highly stressful and uncomfortable situation for both me and my partner. This was not only an invasion of privacy but also caused emotional distress. At no point during booking or check-in did the hotel provide any disclaimer or warning about such policies that could affect guests.
For a global brand like Marriott, I expected professionalism, transparency, and care for guests’ safety and dignity. Instead, I felt misled and unsupported. If the hotel is aware of restrictions that may impact certain guests, they should be upfront about it before booking, not leave travelers to face such distressing surprises.
I will not be staying here again and cannot recommend this property to others. Clear communication and respect for guests are basic expectations, and unfortunately, this hotel failed on both.

The room was excellent, spotless, and tidy. It's clearly a popular choice, with many international guests. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, even personally guiding me to District 1. I was thoroughly impressed. The location is also fantastic, being very close to Binwang Night Market.

My stay at the Yiwu Peninsula Star Hotel coincided with the grand opening of the Global Digital Trade Center in District 6 of the International Trade City. Amidst all the excitement, the hotel truly stood out as a rare haven of comfort.
Its location is absolutely perfect, offering super convenient access to the newly opened Global Digital Trade Center – ideal for my exhibition visits and sourcing needs. What left the deepest impression, though, was the service; it was genuinely attentive and impeccably polite. Upon check-in, the lemon water offered by the front desk was a refreshing welcome, dispelling my travel fatigue, and the check-in process itself was efficient and handled with patience. When I needed extra amenities, the phone response was prompt, and the staff who came to my room always had a smile and professional demeanor. Returning in the evening, I found the turndown service already done, with a thoughtful bottle of mineral water placed by the bedside – a testament to their attention to detail. The room layout was sensible, the bedding comfortable, and the bathroom featured a convenient wet/dry separation, allowing for complete relaxation after a busy day. Breakfast offered a rich selection of both Western and Chinese options, providing a great start to the new day.

The hotel's location is excellent. While claiming a five-minute walk to District 1 might be a slight exaggeration, it's certainly no more than ten minutes away. We spent most of our two days exploring District 1; it's so extensive, we barely scratched the surface. The room amenities were sufficient and perfectly met the needs of our family of three. We particularly appreciated how quiet it was and the comfortable pillows, which were crucial for a good night's sleep. It's a short distance from Santing Road Night Market and World Yiwu, and taxis are easily accessible. There are also many great dining options nearby. The staff were incredibly warm and always greeted us with a smile. The breakfast was clean, hygienic, and offered a decent variety. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families with children planning to explore the trade city. Five stars!

My biggest takeaway is that this is not a service-oriented hotel. The hotel has been established for many years and enjoys a steady clientele. Its proximity to the trade city likely means many foreign trade business people book rooms here for their clients, hence the large number of international guests.
Overall, I didn't perceive much in the way of hotel service; it's quite different from many other similarly priced hotels in China. The only commendable aspect is that water, lemon tea, and small snacks are visibly placed in the lobby for self-service.
Beyond that, services were minimal. Breakfast was Arabian-style, which offered little appeal to a Chinese palate.
Dental kits were provided with the room card, but there were no other amenities in the room. The slippers didn't seem fresh either, which was a bit disappointing.
However, the bedding and linens were decent, allowing for a good night's sleep.
Having frequently stayed at hotels like Atour and other select-service brands in the same price range, I found this hotel's service and facilities to be somewhat lacking in comparison.

The stay at the hotel for the 5 days was great. The receptionist was very helpful in our request and provided clear infor for our request. The room was comfortable and and clean although is small room but the facilities provided in the room is very complete (很完善)。

Excellent and fantastic hotel.
It's a fantastic hotel in an excellent location, the futian international market,many Arabic restaurants, transportation all are just feet away.The amazing staff made a free upgrade room with a smile with out my request.. although it was my third time booking at this hotel this time the check out process took more than usual time made me little angry .
I appreciate their free room upgrades, courtesy and loyalty.. the Western breakfast was amazing...I would recommend the hotel to others again.

Getting around is way easier than I expected. Regular taxis are everywhere and start at ¥8($1.10). I mostly use DiDi (it's like Chinese Uber) because it's cheaper and the app works in English. Free shuttle buses run between all the markets from morning till 5:30 PM. For reference, a taxi from Binwang Market to Futian Market (about 3.5km) usually costs ¥15($2).

AAnonymous UserThe hotel has been newly renovated with a stylish and sophisticated design. The bedding is incredibly comfortable and soft, seemingly made of duck or goose down. The room has a smart assistant that can control many appliances, including lighting, electric curtains, and the projector. The bedside sockets have convenient USB-C charging ports, and there's even a smart toilet. The faucets and showerheads have brands I can't identify, but they feel high quality. The room also offers complimentary bottled Nongfu Spring water, Nestlé instant coffee (low-sugar version), black tea, green tea, and other thoughtful details, showing the hotel owner has a refined taste. The best part is that the price includes two generous buffet breakfasts! I've stayed for seven or eight days, and my only complaint is the wall socket on the desk – it's too high and looks ugly. It should be placed under the desk (with a hole in the tabletop) or flush with the desk so a laptop can block it! Overall, the experience is comparable to Atour, but the price is more affordable!

Its location right at the entrance of the Small Commodity Market makes it incredibly convenient for exploring the market and grabbing snacks at Binwang Night Market, all within walking distance. The rooms are newly renovated, spacious, and bright. The smart amenities are a huge plus; the Tmall Genie voice control and smart toilet were incredibly convenient to use, and I slept wonderfully. My room also offered city views, which was a nice way to relax and unwind after a long day of work.
The front desk and housekeeping staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and they responded to any requests very quickly. Thoughtful services like luggage storage and free parking were much appreciated. And the cleanliness was absolutely impeccable – both the rooms and public areas were spotless. The excellent soundproofing ensured a peaceful night's sleep. The value for money is outstanding! I'll definitely stay here again next time.

It's also just a few hundred meters from Yiwu's largest night market. The front desk staff even recommended a fantastic local 'Digouji' (chicken pot) restaurant nearby, which was also great value, just like the hotel. Room facilities were standard and comprehensive, with everything you'd need. They even have laundry facilities, which was a pleasant surprise – I've stayed in hotels priced over 200 RMB that didn't even offer a washing machine! Overall, for just over 100 RMB, this hotel truly delivers exceptional value for money.
