Sotetsu Fresa Inn Yokohama Higashiguchi

Great location! It's a direct ride from Haneda Airport via the Keikyu Line. Once you exit the North Gate of the Keikyu Line, turn right, and exit A (North Exit) is right there. After taking the escalator, walk straight for about 50 meters, and you're there. It's incredibly convenient for getting to Yamashita Park and Chinatown directly via the Minatomirai Line, and also for reaching Atami and Yokosuka. There's a SOGO department store nearby, and Yodobashi Camera and Takashimaya are at the West Exit, along with plenty of dining options. The hotel lobby connects directly to a Family Mart convenience store, and there's a cafe right next to it where you can have breakfast.

The room was incredibly small – seriously tiny! 😂 Once I opened my suitcase, there was barely any space to walk around. However, it was very clean inside. Downstairs, they have a good selection of toiletries, so you can grab what you need. There's also a kettle and a fridge, which was handy. It’s super convenient, just a 3-minute walk from Yokohama Station, perfect if you're on a business trip or catching a flight. The breakfast downstairs was delicious and a great value at 1100 yen for one of four options – highly recommend! Plus, there's a convenience store right next door, which was super handy for grabbing snacks and drinks.

This was my first time staying here, though I'd passed by before and really liked the area. This time, I specifically chose Yokohama for a weekend getaway. The Narita Express takes you directly here, no transfers needed. I picked a hotel near Yokohama Station to minimize walking. However, finding the Northeast Exit A was a bit of a challenge. I couldn't exit directly from the north exit and always ended up looping through the central north exit, haha. I'll try again next time. This was the first time in my life experiencing such a noisy JR (train) room. The sound of trains passing by was incredibly loud, but I managed to train myself to view it as white noise. I didn't sleep well for two nights. Still, it's much better than the vibrating subway rooms back home, which reminds me of the agony of some hotels near Chunxi Road in Chengdu. Despite the noise, the hotel's location is actually quite good, and the service and room size are better than the Sotetsu hotels in Tokyo. Plus, having a Family Mart convenience store and Beck's Coffee right next door was a huge plus. However, I won't be considering this hotel again in the future. I'm getting older and can't handle the noise anymore.

The room was clean and tidy, and having a laundry room was very convenient. To get there, exit JR North Gate, turn right, and take the North-East Exit A (marked with a red box). Walk along the tracks for about a minute, and you're there. The breakfast was also good, and the coffee was excellent.

The hotel's location is excellent, right outside Yokohama Station, making it convenient to get anywhere. The room was also quite clean, and there was enough space to open our large suitcases, which was a great choice.

Fresa is a hotel I choose quite often, and the overall quality control is consistently good. Both check-in and check-out are fully self-service, which is very convenient. Its location is at Exit N.EAST A of Yokohama Station. I even went to Sushiro nearby, which always has a long queue back home!

This hotel is incredibly close to Yokohama Station, just a 5-minute walk from the East Exit. The room size was perfect for a solo traveler and I could easily open my suitcase. Having a convenience store right downstairs was super handy too. Most importantly, it was only about a 15-minute walk to both my destinations, YokK and Zepp Yokohama. I had a great time at the concert and it was so convenient to just walk back to the hotel afterwards. Highly recommend!
