Tingxue Light Luxury Homestay (Beidagu Ski Resort)

The room was surprisingly clean. The owner had heated the floor himself, making it very warm. I thought it would be cold on the first floor, but it was incredibly cozy; I even had to open the window to sleep. The room was also very spacious, comparable to the All Seasons Hotel. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, making for a very comfortable stay. It's a convenient five-minute drive from the ski resort, and a two-minute walk to nearby restaurants. We ate at Zhang Ersao's restaurant next door for two days, and as a native of Northeast China, I found their prices incredibly reasonable. They only take several hours to set up the stove, and with the area around the ski resort only open in winter, 100 RMB per person is very affordable. The ingredients were also excellent. The owners of our guesthouse were incredibly kind. They offer pick-up and drop-off service to the mountain, but there are set times. If you can easily get there and back yourself, driving is even better. There are charging stations at the entrance, and both chargers worked perfectly. Of all the guesthouses in the area, theirs was the cleanest and tidiest. For a guesthouse costing just over 200 RMB per night, the breakfast was substantial and satisfying. Of course, don't compare it to a hotel buffet, but I think it's quite good for a guesthouse! We will definitely stay at their guesthouse again if we come to Beidahu next time. If you're coming to ski in Northeast China, be sure to register and buy tickets on the Beidahu mini-program one day in advance to get a 50% discount.
