Hampton by Hilton York

The British tried to be clever with a word game, claiming it was a basement or some ground-level floor, which was utterly misleading!!! My intelligence was insulted once, and that was enough.

The hotel's location is great, close to the train station and major city attractions. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The English breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was strong and better than what you get at most coffee shops outside. Very satisfied.

A really great stay! The hotel's location is excellent, and the room was large and very clean. It's just a five-minute walk from the central station and the bus station. Right next to the hotel is the old city wall, and from our room's window, we had an amazing and expansive view of it. The pure English breakfast was a bit simple, with not much variety, and the taste was just average.

The bathroom and bed size were fine, but the rest of the room felt cramped. The outer wall was a floor-to-ceiling window that couldn't be opened, so there was no way to get fresh air. I visited in mid-August. The air conditioning was very noisy and didn't cool at all. It would probably be okay to stay there if the weather was cooler.

The hotel is less than a fifteen-minute walk from the train station, and directly across from it, through an alley, is York's old town. The room facilities are decent. The English breakfast is quite simple, but it's enough to fill you up.

The room was very clean, and the location was excellent, just a stone's throw from the Old Town. From our window, we had a view of the York city walls, a section of which we could climb in the mornings and evenings.

Caught in a weekend + peak season, the room rate was quite expensive. The room itself wasn't very big, but we were able to check in early. With the sofa bed pulled out, there was barely any space left after opening our luggage. The windows were sealed, and the air conditioning worked decently. Breakfast was a typical English breakfast, and it was included by default with our stay. There were no vegetables or fruits, but it was filling enough. The hotel is within walking distance of the train station. Recommended for a short stay.

This hotel is not too far from the train station, about a 10-minute walk. The breakfast is a bit average, and it tends to be crowded, so if you want to eat breakfast, you should go early.
