The hotel is in a very good location near the city center. However, we found a spider in the room upon arrival. The reception team was helpful and arranged another room for us to change into.

It takes about 25 minutes to walk to York subway station, or 5 minutes by taxi. The facilities are quite old, and some room types have windows that don't open. The scent in the room was too strong and pungent, the facilities were dated, and the bed was too soft.

The hotel's location is great, and the room was very clean and tidy. We arrived over an hour before check-in time, and they still let us check in early. The window view was also beautiful. Highly recommend!

How can I refund this payment to Trip.com? The counter of Holiday Inn said they haven’t received the payment through Trip.com. I have paid the room fee of £121.55 at the hotel separately, instead of £133 online. Could you please refund me £133 ASAP!!!

The location is very good. The staff are all in good manner and service. The breakfast is wonderful. However, there is no spare toilet paper in the room. We used up the last piece. There is also no hair dryer. The most important is there is no toilet seat cover, which raises hygiene concerns. When the toilet is flushed, bacteria and particles can spread into the air and throughout the room. Please address this issue by installing appropriate covers or taking measures to improve sanitation.

Great hotel, close to the centre of town. Downside, it’s very noisy. Apartments in the next block over shouting / screaming at the top of their voices late at night. Doors slam in rooms so everyone gets woken up when people go in / out. Breakfast was poor. No fresh food put out the whole time I was there and nothing topped up even. No jam for toast!! £17.99 for a spaghetti bolognaise was also steep but, more tasty than the breakfast.
