Springwood Shepherd Huts Glamping York

Had a lovely weekend stay! We staying in the hebridean hut. A lovely and very clean hut. The hut had everything you needed and would be perfect for longer stays too. Set in a beautiful and quiet location and 20 minutes from York city centre. Would 100% recommend and would stay there again!

Shepherds Huts were a fabulous weekend escape. Very comfortable stay. Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views. As well as being only a 20 minute drive from York City Centre it’s also handy for Xscape (30 minutes drive away) for skiing and snowboarding. Nearby Pool Bridge Farm is also a wee gem of a place and well worth a visit for a walk/open water swimming/ sauna. (visited after clicking on link for things to do) Already looking forward to coming back again! (hopefully soon)

We stayed here for 2 nights in the Cotswold Hut and I can’t fault this place! Amazingly clean and comfortable, such a peaceful place and just a short taxi/bus ride into York City Centre! I would definitely recommend staying here perfect place for relaxation!

UNREAL!!! Genuinely, one of the nicest places I've visited for this type of accommodation. Everything has been thought of in a modern environment. Bed - Super comfy Kitchen - Superb Shower - Superb We didn't use the indoor log burner but what a touch on cold evenings. Hot Tub - Superb Outdoor fire pit [if only I could light a fire properly it would have been awesome lol] Sat in the hot tub, a glass of wine in hand, looking up spotting satellites with no sound around, bliss. We even fed the Alapaca's and learnt all about them, something a bit different and recommended. I love that this is a family-run business too that will do anything to help their guests. All in all, we loved it that much, looking to book in December!

We’ve just come back from our second visit to these fabulous shepherds huts, well equipped luxurious accommodation with the most comfortable bed, beautiful linen and towels are also provided, the resident chickens will come over to visit, it is conveniently situated a few miles outside York.

Had an amazing stay at Springwood Shepherds Hut. The huts are so unique with an unreal view and setting. We stayed in the Jacobs Hut and it was lovely and clean, the bed was super comfy. It’s also so easy to find upon arrival, with help from the team and their directions via email. Thank you for our stay xx

Sometimes a second visit to a destination can feel like you have done it all before and perhaps not as good measured up to the first time. Well… that’s definitely not the case here, in fact we are booking a third visit in November/ December for the excellent York Christmas market. If you love staying 5 star where you can hear the room next door, the lift going up and down, people walking the corridors or hurrying up to get out before the maid service walks in on you then Springwood is not for you! If you like extremely high quality spotless accommodation, absolute peace and quiet, no noise from neighbours and excessive attention to detail by the host, then book this little gem without hesitation. Oh just a tip!, if you are looking for something special for a loved one, book all the extras that are available, the robes, Prosecco, firewood package, petals and towel folding really make the stay and are exceptionally good value. We have stayed with the hot tub included and once without, either way the stay was equally as good. A hot tub on your own though, under a starlit sky, Prosecco and peace and quiet! You decide. The hosts at this property completely leave you to your stay but went well above and beyond for us. We are really grateful for a fantastic stay.

Great couple of days for away for New year. Fantastic accommodation so clean with everything you’d need. So peaceful easy to book a taxi to go to York or the designer outlet. Fresh eggs every morning. I paid extra for the logs so we come use the fire pit and internal log burner.

* Great Location - Perfect spot to take a break, so scenic and peaceful. The kind of place that makes you want to put your phone down and pick up a book (or in our case a pack of cards!) * The Hut - Spotless! You can tell they have been very well looked after, we hope future guests continue to respect the huts as they are immaculate. You can really see the work that has been put into them!! *The Details - Fresh Eggs, Pint of Milk, Very Good Coffee, Bluetooth speaker & friendly chickens! Sheep theme carried on throughout the hut which we loved! We stayed on a very warm weekend so we also made good use of the supplied tower fan! Everything had been thought of! *Service - Great communication throughout the booking process & our stay. Thank you Eden ☺️ *Things to do (& distance away) - Sangthai Restaurant was yummy! (2 mins) York City Centre (20 mins) we use the park & ride (5 mins) and Ubers. The Ubers cost us approx £35 for the day but it was also York Race Day so we think this may have increased price / decreased availability! Definitely recommend Park & Ride £3.50 if you aren’t too worried about having a drink! LockedIn escape room in York was brilliant fun, if you are looking for something to do in the city! York Designer Outlet (5 mins) was also a good afternoon trip to make, picked up a few bargains! Overall we strongly recommend this place, we will be returning in the future 👍🏻
