Exceptional, lovely clean rooms, a very good array of toiletries, tea and coffee, very comfortable, very quiet, every mod cons, even a washing machine, key pad to gain access, provided by text, touch controls for lighting etc, limited free parking but available on street parking from £10 per day. A short 10mins stroll to city centre, 5 mins stroll from the rail station, bars, cafes, restauraunts close by, and access to city walls at the end of the road. A fantastic place to stay, for easy access to all amenities, and for your start to explore the city.

A good base for exploring York. The location really is excellent with a short walk into town. It is really good value and having a small kitchen and lounge area means you aren’t all cooped up in one room. It is also a huge bonus in York to get a parking space and £10 for this is excellent value. Very well equipped with great features such as high end air conditioning, fans, tvs and cooking and even laundry facilities. I have taken off one star because this is clearly a well used apartment and the upstairs carpet is showing signs of wear, a hard floor would be much better. The bathroom is also a bit tired and the sliding bathroom door just doesn’t slide so not much privacy for bathroom users! There was also promise of some bottled water and a litre of milk but neither of these things were there. I’d stay here again though and the bed was very clean with nice quality bedding and very comfortable. The steps upstairs may be a challenge for older people or young children.

We had the best stay at York Aparthotel! The apartment is really modern with everything you need including tea and biscuits for in the morning. It’s so close to the centre of York, we were walking distance from everywhere we wanted to visit and close to the train station. Instructions to access the apartment are easy to follow too. We will definitely be returning here whenever we’re staying in York! Thank you so much :)

DO NOT STAY HERE - horrendous customer service and filth everywhere. I wish I was joking but we were effectively forced to flee the property in the small hours of the morning on a bank holiday Sunday. Upon contacting the host with very valid concerns regarding cleanliness and hygiene (listed below) he became increasingly rude and aggressive in his tone and manner on the phone. After being told to leave several times we felt we had no other option but to flee the property which we had to do in a panic after it was intimated that we would only be refunded if we were gone before he arrived in around ‘20 minutes’. There was absolutely no consideration given to us in any way here and to be fully candid, we felt threatened. Now onto the concerns we raised, which were effectively ignored: The bed sheets are stained. The light doesn’t work on the stairs. There are dust and cobwebs in numerous places. The latch on the door which you attach the hook onto is broken so that it can’t be secured that way. The “Hold for 5 seconds” button doesn’t work to turn all the lights off. There is no remote / air con facility even though the text says there is air con and this building is very hot. It feels like you are falling off the bed - the mattress topper is very uneven and makes it hard to get comfortable. From about 8.30pm until midnight all we could hear was screaming and shouting and noise as a full scale party was pretty much taking place next door. This being said, even when they were just talking at normal volume it felt as though they were in the room with us. We could actually hear next door’s television word for word. We booked this room on the premise that it was sold as being “sound proof” as my partner and I work very stressful jobs and travel a lot for work. We needed the peace and a proper rest. Safe to say we did not get that. On top of this, the property was in a general state of uncleanliness. There was a suspicious looking brown stain on the spare toilet roll. The inside rim of the toilet is also stained brown. The cheese grater is absolutely disgusting and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since it was purchased. The same goes for the toastie maker. There is literally a huge clump of old cheese on it. The washing machine stinks of sick and poo and is smeared with another brown substance, which regrettably there seems to be a lot of. The ceiling looks ready to give way at any point: you can literally move it with your hand. This doesn’t seem safe. On top of the cabinets was what looks like an old pot of used jam. Once again, vile. Much of the cutlery is stained or dirty. The clock downstairs is broken. The drawer under the sink fell down when another was opened. Many handles and other surfaces are stained or dirty. There is no coffee machine as advertised. This was perhaps the worst stay of my life, and I have backpacked around Europe and stayed in some pretty questionable places so that’s saying something. Do yourself favour and sta

I recently stayed at this aparthotel and unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. Upon arrival, the cleanliness of the apartment was subpar, with dusty surfaces, a mouldy fridge, and dirty utensils. Despite the property owner offering a refund for the accommodation, I was disappointed that they refused to refund the parking fee, which I had already paid. Furthermore, the communication with the property owner via email was unprofessional and unpleasant. It's disheartening when such issues arise during a trip, especially when you're looking forward to a relaxing stay. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, but it's important for the property owner to address and resolve these issues promptly and professionally. I hope they take this feedback constructively and make improvements for future guests. Overall, my experience at this aparthotel was disappointing due to the cleanliness issues, unresolved parking fee, and unprofessional communication. I would advise other travelers to consider these factors before making a booking decision.

Firstly the owner says it’s a 90% chance for parking when only 4 spaces for 8 apartments? I messaged on the morning of arrival asking if there would be plenty of parking when arriving at 1pm, and he replied ‘probably’ which I thought a bit rude but never mind. Arrived and no parking so paid an extortionate £26 for 24 hrs, recommended by the owner. We got in after the maids left at 2pm and headed straight out. When we got back we immediately heard the singing and shouting from the pub, the beer garden was directly under the bedroom velux window, then we opened the door to the bathroom upstairs about half a metre from the bed and the stench was terrible. We advised the owner who said we can swap rooms the next day, but we we’re only staying 1 more night and had unpacked. So he said the maid will give us some bleach when they come. We managed to get parked for the 2nd night and the owner didn’t charge because of the issues. At 6.45 am each morning we were woken by the pub delivery and the barrels for a good 45 minutes. Going to the toilet during the night was horrendous, as once the door opened the stench was terrible. We went out for the day & returned about 3, the maids were in other apartments hadn’t come into ours so my husband spoke to them as the were leaving. The maid advised us it’s the drains and it’s been a problem for some time. She sprinkled zoflora and gave us some bleach, she gasped when she opened the door to the bathroom as the smell was that bad. I don’t know how they can sell the property as a holiday let. Reading reviews on other sites I don’t know how the reviews can give this a 5 star rating with my experience. It seems 1 bad review then 2 excellent reviews follow? Anyway we won’t be returning.
