I had a pleasant stay. The location is within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and cafés, making it very convenient for sightseeing and finding food and beverages without needing transportation. The room is clean with complimentary tea bags and cookies provided, which made the stay feel more welcoming and comfortable. However, guests should be aware of the hotel's strict operating hours and check-in/check-out policies. The reception is only open from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, although the property can still be accessed with a key outside these hours. Check-out is at 10:00 AM, and the hotel does not offer luggage storage after check-out, which may be inconvenient for travelers with later flights or plans in the city.

Cozy spacious room for a good price, friendly staff. Location is a bit out of a city center, but right on the way to Designer's Outlet. Anyway it took for me around 20 min of fast walking to reach a railroad station, which is not so far.

Beautiful old pub located on the main road into York from the south. Car parking at the rear. Takes about twenty minutes to walk to the Minster and the route takes you past Clifford's Tower & The Shambles. The room was very clean & tidy, decorated simply & tastefully. Shower was hot and efficient. We slept well although we prefer a firmer bed. The pub is on a main road but it was quiet during the night & we weren't disturbed by visitors to the bar (we stayed on a Thursday). Good beer, I had a pint of Wainwright's Gold. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we would definitely stay again, much better to support a local business like this than the big brands. My wife is Chinese and wanted a Chinese breakfast, we found a place called Noodle Lane about ten minutes walk from the hotel, it was expensive but authentic.

Was a great place to stay however during the night I could hear rustling and in the morning found a truckle of cheese opened and nibbled

the breakfast and man running it was amazing, we were stunned with the amount of thought that went into us, even though we didnt pre-book. only fault was that we didnt realise it was a pub (our fault) and it stayed open downstairs for 3 hours past closing time! we didnt sleep well as i think there was some sort of hendo which was very irritating

Good beer

I was expecting the accommodation to be on the second floor of a pub to be rather dingy or noisy, but it was clean and tidy. Being able to drink beer at the pub kept me entertained at night. Having meals available was also a great help. Furthermore, it offered easy access to a beautiful riverside path. It wasn't too far from Yorkcastle, only about 10 minutes away.

It's a half-hour walk from the station to the hotel. It's easily recognizable by the roadside, has parking, a bar downstairs with a charming ambiance, and rooms upstairs. The rooms aren't large, but they seem recently renovated and are quite clean. For a trip, it's acceptable. The service was very friendly.

The rooms are small, there's no elevator, and the first floor houses a bar and restaurant with rather outdated facilities. Free parking is available, which is convenient for those traveling by car. It's very close to attractions like York Minster and the Shambles, about a ten-minute walk away, which is quite convenient.

The standard of the hotel is really very standard. This time when I traveled to the UK, I basically booked Holiday Inn. The hotel's hygiene, service, and breakfast were all very good, and I had a deep sleep!
