Reviews of Hounkan

A traditional Japanese hotel with more than hundred years history!   Room is clean, but without hair dryer, finally I had my hair washed at public bath’s bathroom area with my hair  Breakfast and Service is good!  Location is a bit far from foot big parking of Mountain Yoshino!  Due to Autumn leaves period, the up Mountain road is blocked and we have to drive from other way to reach there!   In case of cherry blossom period, it’s uncertainty of car can drive through there!

This is an old ryokan with a history. Everything was smooth and beautiful, though we did not speak Japanese, nor the personnel speak our language, we were able to communicate and enjoy open air bath, traditional dinner and breakfast. The stuff is professional, warm and friendly. The area itself is famous for pilgrimage and views. Apart from soaking in a bath, one can walk around the village and visit numerous shrines and one magnificent huge temple, which is absolute must-see. Another delight is the beautiful view from the ryokan window. The same breathtaking feeling may have at the dining hall watching remote hills and the valley down the hill. Very authentic experience of traditional Japanese relax holiday. highly recommended!

Thank you so much to the hosts! We had a wonderful night at the ryokan. Everyone was kind and polite. I also really enjoyed the dinner, the view, and Yoshino itself. I can only imagine how beautiful it is here during cherry blossom season.

The service is very good in a Japanese-style hotel. The hotel owner will drive to Yoshino Station to pick up and drop off guests. The hotel is very clean and shoes are always neatly placed at the door. The Japanese-style room is clean and tidy, and there are cherry blossom trees outside the balcony window. Dinner and breakfast were sumptuous. Every staff member has a smile and polite service. Traditional Japanese hot spring baths, both indoors and outdoors. There are also free massage chairs in public areas.

Located in Nakasenbon, it has an indoor hot spring and a large bath. The breakfast and dinner are rich and exquisite, the service is warm and the price is high.

Perfect mountain view. You may not be able to book a room during the cherry blossom season in spring. Be aware that there is no dinner during the off-season.

服務佳，人員很熱情，餐點豐盛，風景絕佳，可以搭公車到上千本、奧千本。 飯店前方的路是陡坡，走起來比較吃力 下次到吉野山還會考慮再來這裡。

The ryokan is located quite far from the ropeway. Carrying your luggage and walking uphill to reach the ryokan is not that pleasant experience. Finding a taxi during the cherry blossoms season is also not easy. However, their rooms truly offer a spectacular view!
