Then the hotel organizes activities such as fishing and some interesting farm work, but they are all in the afternoon. So I missed it perfectly when I checked in at 6 o'clock. I either stayed for two days, or I arrived at noon to play. (What was even more outrageous on the day I lived was the power outage in the area the next day) The store is relatively simple, I want to order their signature chicken soup, and they say it will be stewed for 3 hours, but it is too late to make it. I ordered other cheap ones later, and the sound of killing chickens came from the back kitchen, so it was very fresh...

EXCEPTIONAL. I’ve been solo traveling for 6 weeks now and this is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in any city or town. Truly stunning location, very very well designed hotel, and lovely underfloor heating. Best breakfast I’ve had outside of luxury hotels, great hiking nearby. Really loved my stay - kind of regret I didn’t stay any longer. Very little food around Yuanyang rice paddies, but the hotel has a good restaurant on site.

The side facing away from the terraces is the houses and fields in the village, but you can also go to the front of the hotel to enjoy the scenery. Breakfast includes Chinese red rice noodles + eggs + fruits, Western toast + fried eggs + fruits + milk/red rice porridge. The quality is good. When I was walking around, I saw the boss himself carrying a bamboo basket of toast and waiting for people to go up the mountain from the parking lot. From the hotel, it takes 5 or 60 kilometers to transport materials here before getting onto the national highway or highway. To get to the hotel, you have to climb a mountain road. Friends who want to stay in various terraced fields should bring some snacks. The B&B has a kitchen where you can order meals, and you can also walk to several restaurants along the road. Prices are higher than those at the foot of the mountain. Logistics are also normal, so you can ask the boss to recommend them. If you stay there, if you are afraid of the cold at night in October, you will need to turn on the electric mattress. It is still very comfortable. The other owners have been in business for many years and can be consulted on anything and provide suggestions that suit the purpose of the trip. The day we checked in was the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the boss arranged boiled chestnuts, moon cakes, etc. for the guests. All in all, it was a B&B with a great view, a sense of design, and a relaxing feel, suitable for a short stay and vacation.

Amazing! Our clean spacious room had everything we needed. It was great! We accidentally left our window open, so there were a lot of flies, we told the staff (Sky), she put it loads of bug repellents down which was amazing and so kind. Sky spoke fluent English and was like our tour guide for our time there. She took us round the rice terraces, the local villages and markets. We lived like the locals, very peaceful, no other tourist or tour groups. The food was delicious! Honestly, would highly recommend! (The closest train station is actually gejiu (only 2 hours, and the roads are a lot less scary). Sky helped us organise all the drivers we needed. Add them on WeChat once you've booked.
