Yuanyang Green Hostel & Sunny Guesthouse

Pretty much next to the terraces! The view from my room was amazing, especially sunrise, could clearly see it from my room or could go to the outside area to see. Therefore didn’t have to go to the overcrowded viewing platform at the crack of dawn. Room is comfy, heater and towels provided but not really much else, so paying really for the view. Shower powerful and warm but no toiletries provided. Says restaurant on description but in fact doesn’t have one, has a couple of tables where the owner can warm up dumplings or baozi, however the owner is very nice and took me to see his friend which is only a short walk away who had a kitchen and could cook different meals at good prices. The owner helped me carry my luggage down, and it was pretty heavy, and then helped me to arrange someone to bring it up at the end of my stay. I would recommend not bring too much with you as it’s about an 8-10 min walk from the nearest car park, with quite a few steps or uneven paths but like I said, can arrange someone to help with any heavy luggage. Also it is in a little village surrounded by nature so bear in mind, you are going to hear things like the chickens and the wind. Owner speaks great English, always there to answer questions and help.

I'm almost travelling for one month now and this was one of the best stays I've had so far. The owners are so hospital and helpful with anything you need, staying there really feels like being at home. Also the rooftop views are breathtaking! You can watch the sunrise here and go back to sleep afterwards 😂 10/10 recommend! I'll come back for sure 👍

day3, New Year's Eve, temporarily decided to stay one more night in Yuanyang, here is the New Year. So today is a day strolling around the old village of Pugao, Yuanyang. This village is relatively primitive. There are many indigenous people. The morning sun, pointed thatched roof, and delicate hand-embroidered Hani costumes are like telling. This is still isolated from the world. In the evening, according to the inn boss's instructions, I found a secret terraced spot, with few people and beautiful scenery, and waited for the most beautiful sunset here. The New Year's Eve dinner was shared in the inn with several travelers who stayed together. Due to the spread of the pneumonia epidemic, there are very few tourists going out. The boss is very enthusiastic. Although there are few people, he still prepares a lot of food, chicken, duck, fish, and fennel stuffed dumplings. Today, this year, perfect!

Photos were taken in summer and winter, and with Yangguan Inn for five years, almost every college period of winter and summer, there are a few days to spend here, there are harvest, there are growth. The video is recorded with the village children separately, where the children teach their own field of knowledge, and children grow together, leaving behind a beautiful ripple. Located in Doishu Scenic Area, the inn can see the whole view of Doishu Scenic Area on the roof and the first floor platform even in the viewing room, close to the terraces, which is a great location for shooting the sunrise.

The powerful Amway Hani terraces, with their majestic staircases and rolling seas of clouds, are a perfect synergy between nature and human activity. And the Sunshine Inn, the boss will enthusiastically introduce us to the local food beauty, plan and coordinate our travel time, so that I always like to let it go naturally and I also experience the mystery of time. And the children in the village can share the joy of their growth with you, the whole inn is a home.
