This private onsen hotel offers great privacy and is only suitable for those who drive, as it's located up a mountain. Free parking is available, but the rooms are quite basic and the building design is a bit dated. If you're afraid of insects, please consider carefully; even during a one-night stay, we found spiders and other bugs on the bed. The outdoor private onsen also had many insects and ants. The half-board (dinner and breakfast) was acceptable, but the dinner portion was small, and we had to go out to buy a late-night snack.

It's quite a distance from the station, so you'll need to take a taxi to get there. Check-out time is 11:00 AM. I asked if they could book a taxi for 11:30 AM, but they said they could only book it for 11:00 AM. In the evening, I bought some food from 7-Eleven, and the male staff member was very helpful in heating it up for me.

The hotel rooms are individual houses, offering a high degree of privacy. The hotel creates a very comfortable atmosphere, and the staff are friendly. The sukiyaki for dinner was also quite good. It's definitely worth staying in Yufuin for a day to relax. Being able to dip into the hot springs anytime is a big plus. I recommend taking a taxi to the hotel, as its location is at the foot of the mountain.

Overall: The individual house rooms are spacious and clean, and the private hot spring is truly excellent. The surroundings are beautiful, and the houses are well-spaced, ensuring high privacy 👍. The water temperature is hot enough and adjustable, which is very comfortable. The service from the front desk staff, those who served the food, and the person who showed me to my room was all excellent 👍. They also communicated arrival times and other important details in advance. Suggestions: 1) A minor drawback: The food isn't great. Besides the beef, the other dishes at dinner had a very strange taste, and breakfast was just mediocre. 2) The garden around the private hot spring in the room could use some trimming; it looked a bit messy in the morning. 3) It's more suitable for those traveling by car.

This is a great choice for those traveling by car, offering a quiet and relaxing getaway.

The staff here are incredibly friendly, haha. I'd definitely recommend trying the Kaiseki dinner for the experience. The neat and clean breakfast, in particular, was a great way to start my day! The ryokan itself was pure relaxation, and the accommodation was so clean that I had a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Since we were on a self-drive trip, we chose this onsen ryokan, which also offered free parking. As soon as we drove in, a staff member came out to greet us and even helped us carry our luggage to the room. The service was 100 points! The room was very clean and spacious, and having YouTube and Netflix on the TV was super convenient. The highlight was definitely the private onsen in the room; soaking in it was incredibly relaxing, and the privacy was excellent. Very satisfied!
