Magnificent hotel! The best we've stayed at in all of Japan. The room was in traditional Japanese style, with access to a beautiful hydrangea garden and a rock garden. This was the most beautiful and authentic ryokan we've ever experienced. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite. Even though our booking didn't include breakfast or dinner, they regularly brought us green tea with traditional Japanese wagashi sweets after our travels. It was my partner's birthday, and the management even gave him small gifts and congratulated him with a little cake and a candle! That was incredibly thoughtful and wonderful. The onsen (hot spring) was also very authentic and beautiful, I absolutely loved it. I highly recommend this place. And the surroundings of Yufuin were simply fairytale beautiful and serene!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Oyado Uraku. The staffs were polite and considerate. The amenities were superb and the location is great. Very quiet and convenient. The nearby AEON mall has huge discount at night, also worth a visit.

A hot spring ryokan in Yufuin. The location is a bit of a walk from the main tourist area, about 10-15 minutes on foot. Shops in the immediate vicinity tend to close quite early, but there's a convenience store nearby for any last-minute necessities. While the staff's English proficiency was average, they were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to assist us. The property was spotless, and the air conditioning was excellent, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. The rooms are quite spacious, making them ideal for families or guests with a lot of luggage. The toilet and bathroom are separate, and even the washbasin area has a door, which is great as it prevents disturbing others who might be sleeping. Given the limited number of rooms, we enjoyed the onsen three times during our two-night stay without encountering any other guests, and the hot spring itself was very clean. Both breakfast and dinner were thoughtfully prepared, and dining in our own room was a truly delightful experience.

All staffs are very friendly and attentive. Room is huge and the futon is unbelievably cozy. Good location.. walking distant to the train station and walking street.

Both the service and food were excellent.

The room is clean and the staff is very polite, the location of the hotel is near the jr and bus station, but the outdoor onsen is not match the photo provided from the hotel which is a bit disappointed.

The food was delicious. The bath was also perfectly warm and very relaxing.

If I ever visit Yufuin again, this is definitely the place I'd want to stay. It truly is an excellent accommodation, just as the other reviews mentioned. Thank you.

A Japanese-style guesthouse, not far from the station.

Friendly staff. Delicious Kaiseki dinner. Amazing hot springs. Convenient location close to the station! Absolutely wonderful experience!

Good quality of food and service .

The ryokan is clean and small although it is quite old. The dishes are delicious. The service is very excellent. Even the guest does not know Japanese, he will try his best to explain the food to the guest. Every single dish just like an art piece which use the seasonal plant to decorate the dish. The whole set of dinner and breakfast are excellent. The disappointing point is the the outdoor Onsen. The size is too small for occupants.

Great location, excellent service, and a truly worthwhile stay.
