Reviews of Ryokan Yamashiroya

If you call the ryokan in advance and request a pick-up, take the train from Yufuin Station to Yunohira and they will pick you up. It is located in a town that is about 10 minutes away by car from Yunohira Station, so it is not very accessible. The facility is a traditional ryokan-style building, and the bathrooms, etc. are very clean. The kaiseki served for dinner and breakfast is of excellent quality and delicious. You can request ice cream for dessert after dinner. The hot springs are private hot springs and open-air baths. I only used the private hot springs, and they were clean and nice. The staff were very friendly and spoke a little Korean, so there was no difficulty in communication. It was a very satisfactory accommodation.

The ryokan itself is a bit further from Yufuin Station, and you have to get off at the station and drive for 5-10 minutes, so it's quite deep in the countryside, so it was inconvenient, but they always picked us up and picked us up, which was really nice. Yamashiroya is run by two couples in their fifties. The proprietress can speak fluent Japanese English and is very hospitable and enthusiastic. The hotel provides 4 private hot springs for guests to use, 2 outdoor and 2 indoor. The hot springs are occupied when no one is using them, so you can take as many photos as you like. We chose the one-night-and-two-dinner plan. Although the room was a bit nostalgic, the meals provided were one of the most delicious on this trip.

Although the place is relatively remote, it is really quiet and comfortable. You can also make a free reservation in advance to pick up and drop off at the JR station. There are 4 private baths to choose from. Once you enter, you can lock the door and take a shower. The privacy is very high. You can also see on the TV screen in the room whether other people are using it. It is definitely a relaxing place for your body and mind. A great place to relax and recharge. Accommodation: clean and comfortable. Food: fresh and carefully cooked. The ingredients for breakfast and dinner are different on both days. Each meal is very rich, so my mother has to worry about being hungry in the middle of the night. The boss and the landlady often show a very friendly smile, which makes us have a very cordial relationship. Feel. Before I left, I told the proprietress that the green tea brewed here was delicious. The landlady is hospitable, the food is of high quality, the beef is delicious, the grapefruit salad and pomelo ice cream are fragrant and delicious. When I left, the landlady gave me a grapefruit. Unfortunately, the location is a bit far away. If you take the train in Yufuin, you have to cross the opposite platform. You can cross the railway with luggage, but the staff may be too busy that day. They instructed us to use the overpass to cross the opposite platform. I I asked the question twice and got the same answer. I was pressed for time, so I only carried my luggage to the overpass. When I was getting ready to board the train, I saw someone crossing the railway line. On the return trip, I returned to Yufuin from Yudaira and got on the opposite platform. I have to carry my luggage onto the overpass again. No matter how carefully I look this time, I can’t cross the road tracks.

The boss at the end of kindness & delicious dinner and breakfast & even a hot spring that you can enjoy privately even though it is not an in-room hot spring! It was regrettable to stay for one day, so I stayed for two days, but I recommend two days rather than one day! One day, after playing in downtown Fukuoka, I went over to the ryokan, ate dinner, and went to a hot spring. One day, I went to Lake Yufuin and the streets (it takes 4-5 hours if I go around in detail), I went home with swollen legs, had dinner, and went to a hot spring! When taking the train from Yufuin Station to the ryokan, if you contact the owner, he will pick you up and take you to the nearest station when you go out or check out, so it was really convenient!!
