Reviews of Yufuin Ryokan Nogiku

I've always wanted to try a ryokan, and from now on, this will be my go-to ryokan in Yufuin. First off, the staff were incredibly kind, and the room condition and size were very satisfying. We could also borrow bicycles for free, which was great for exploring around.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel felt a bit far when carrying our luggage from the station, but without luggage, the walking distance is absolutely acceptable. The room was spotless, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. What truly made our trip special was the free bicycle rental — cycling around Yunotsubo Kaido (湯の坪街道) and along the river at sunset was magical. The peaceful village vibe was unforgettable. Highly recommended!

It was so good. I will definitely stop by again if I go to Yufuin. It is surrounded by nature and has great accessibility. The staff are so kind, and having a natural hot spring bath inside the private room is the best. I guess this is why everyone comes to Yufuin. Highly recommended. Paid for myself. ※ No Kaiseki. I went specifically because I was fine without it. ※ Having a private hot spring is truly the best part.

The location is a bit out of the way, but the staff are incredibly friendly. It was raining when I visited, so I couldn't rent a bike, which is a shame. Don't follow Google Maps; it's much faster to cross the bridge and follow the signs. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Yunotsubo Street, so I was able to walk around comfortably.

Satisfactory except for the remote location

As soon as I entered the room, the scent of tatami mats hit me and I loved it! It was so clean and I loved being able to enjoy the kotatsu. It was great that there was a private bath for the price and it was perfect for two people! There are yukatas, and if you ask the staff, they will lend you a bicycle. I rode it before checking out in the morning and it was so nice ㅠㅠㅠ💗 When we checked out and left, the staff helped us with our luggage and saw us off until we disappeared.

It's clean and takes about 15 minutes to walk from the station, but it's worth the walk. It was really nice~

It's really the best. The facilities were really good. They were also very kind! It seems like it took less than 10 minutes to walk from Yufuin Station. There's a mart nearby, so it's good to buy a lot of things and eat them.

I had too much luggage, so I took a taxi and it wasn't far! The accommodation looked like a traditional Japanese house, so it had a very nice feel. A unique country house? There was a bit of a smell, but we actually liked it and were able to stay comfortably. The staff was very friendly, and we were able to comfortably go to nearby spots on the bikes lent by the accommodation. The private bathtub was small but cozy, warm and very nice! 😁

Everything is perfect except the location

Although the hotel is some distance from the station, there is a private bathhouse in the room, which is suitable for people who like privacy. The disadvantage is that you have to take a bath outside when it is very cold. There are many facilities in the public areas and the heating is always on, which is great The only small drawback is that the sauna is under renovation this time. Although the construction time is 0900-1700, the construction was until 00:00 on the night of check-in, and the construction started at 8 o'clock the next morning. The only small drawback. But the staff also apologized the next day and hoped they would pay more attention next time.

The accommodation was so clean and nice!! It’s close and not far from the station! There is a sign after crossing the bridge than what appears on Google search, so it is much closer to follow it and there is no turning back! The staff was very friendly and spoke a little Korean, so communication wasn't a problem. I was also very satisfied with the private open-air bath! It wasn't cold because it was heated by an air conditioner. You can also rent bicycles for free, so I recommend riding them!!

The location is not that far from Yufuin Station, and there is a private hot spring bath for one person in the room. Other than that, all bedding and facilities are clean. Above all, the female owner of the accommodation is really friendly. For that reason, this is an accommodation I would like to visit again. I think this is the best cost-effective ryokan.
