Taohuawu Lijiang Snow Mountain Secret Realm Luxury Resort Hotel

Seriously, you haven't truly experienced Lijiang if you haven't visited Taohuawu. I feel incredibly lucky to have chosen Taohuawu among countless B&Bs. It was absolutely worth the hour-long drive from the city! This was easily the most unforgettable part of my entire Yunnan trip. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Every single staff member was delightful and incredibly thoughtful, and the service was impeccable throughout. Even the hotel amenities showed a great attention to detail! Our original room didn't have the best view, but the butler thoughtfully moved us to a different one. I was so touched, I practically wanted to live there forever! I tried several activities, and even though I wasn't great at them personally, it was still a wonderful experience. Plus, the chef's cooking is incredibly delicious – it tasted like traditional wood-fired meals! In the evening, it drizzled a bit, and the blue hour was absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, we missed the bonfire party, which was replaced by a fireside drink session. I even got to try Huang Bo's handmade butter tea, which had a lot of salt at first, haha, but tasted much better after adding sugar. I also had the black tea he brewed. The breakfast was excellent too. I had mentioned not eating pork at dinner, and they remembered at breakfast, even reminding us that some soup bases contained pork. They truly remember their customers' preferences. Since we were rushing to go to the snow mountain in the morning, they even packed breakfast for us, and the fruit at the front desk was incredibly delicious! So thoughtful! Before leaving, I bought a can of Taohuawu tea as a souvenir. I truly love this place. The only minor thing is that because the environment is so natural and beautiful, there are a lot of little critters, but everything else was perfect. I hope their business flourishes, and all the other details are in the pictures. I hope to visit again someday!

An absolutely wonderful and unforgettable two-day experience! From the bonfire party to tasting butter tea, horse riding, making pinecone fridge magnets, and tie-dyeing, I got to immerse myself in diverse cultures and felt so much warmth and hospitality. The room was a charming cabin nestled on the hillside. As soon as I entered, the butler turned on the air conditioning, underfloor heating, and humidifier. The bed was incredibly soft, the water was hot, and the huge screen was perfect for watching the World Cup – a real bonus! Afternoon tea was at the cliffside cafe. The butler drove us there and back. I got to swing while gazing at the distant Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and the food was delicious. Every photo I took looked like it belonged in a magazine! The best part is they even included entrance tickets to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Booking one night allowed us to enjoy two full days of activities – incredible value!

It was a great honor to be a resident of Taohuawu and experience a three-day, two-night trip here. All the staff were incredibly enthusiastic, and the hotel offered a fantastic array of activities like mushroom picking, boating, archery, and horseback riding. We were a few families traveling together this time, and we spent a long time researching before settling on this place. It's located right within Yulong Snow Mountain, so it's incredibly quiet, with vast, open mountain and wilderness scenery all around. Every photo you take looks like it's from a magazine; it really gives you the feeling of being in the mountains of Altay. While the location is a bit far from the ancient town, it was perfect for us as we wanted to avoid the crowds, and it effectively shielded us from the hustle and bustle. The guesthouse offers a wide array of activities. We tried mushroom foraging, crafting, and horseback riding, and all the activities were great fun. We actually just stayed at the guesthouse this trip and didn't venture out, and a single day felt too short. I'd definitely recommend spending at least two days here to fully experience it. There are also a few cute cats and dogs at the property. Since I was traveling with family, cleanliness is always my top priority, and the room was indeed impeccably clean. All the facilities and equipment were from well-known brands. Being in the mountains, a few tiny flying insects are understandable, but other than that, there were no flaws. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, with quick response times, and all our requests were handled promptly. I've stayed in many five-star hotels, but I much preferred the service here – it felt so warm and personal, unlike the robotic feel you sometimes get from hotel staff. I've already recommended it to many friends, and I'll definitely be back next time!

My friend booked this hotel for our road trip, and wow, it really does feel like Xinjiang's Altay region – absolutely stunning! Even though it's a bit far from the ancient town, that's exactly what makes this valley hotel so incredibly peaceful and quiet. There's a beautiful waterfall hiking trail nearby that's a must-do, and you can even pick mushrooms! We found loads, though edible ones were a bit scarce, haha. The hotel has its own restaurant, so no worries about meals. Honestly, we had some pretty disappointing food experiences in Lijiang, but the hotel chef's cooking was fantastic – not a single bad dish, everything was delicious, especially the free-range chicken and mushroom hotpot. So good! The room was spotlessly clean. When they cleaned it during our extended stay, I saw the housekeeper kneeling to wipe every tiny corner, which was really reassuring. There's a cliffside cafe at the hotel, and in the morning, we saw a sea of clouds. When the weather cleared, we even saw all thirteen peaks of Yulong Snow Mountain – we were so lucky! But the service truly deserves a special mention. In my opinion, it absolutely exceeds five-star hotel standards. Responses were incredibly fast; whatever we needed, they were basically ready to help with anything. It felt like every concierge was a super multi-skilled hero, busy from morning till night. They handled transfers, helped with foraging, crafts, boating, archery – they were always there if we wanted to try anything. They even sang and drank with us in the evenings. You all work so hard! If you're looking for a really relaxing and crowd-free stay in Lijiang, you absolutely have to choose Taohuawoo. It will definitely surprise you!

Taohua坞 Ranch 🎯 Absolutely stole my heart! ❤️ Who understands the feeling of heading to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain with high hopes, only to be met with a downpour? The entire mountain was completely hidden by thick fog, not even a peek of the snowy peaks. I was genuinely disappointed, but thankfully I booked the Melting Snow Mountain Taohua坞 B&B, which completely made up for the bad weather's letdown 🌧️ I thought the rain would just trap me in my room, but to my surprise, the B&B has its own huge ranch with so many activities, I couldn't sit still! The vast, flat meadows paired with distant mountains and mist created an incredible misty, atmospheric vibe. Photos taken here naturally have a soft-focus filter. There are tons of outdoor options: you can go boating 🚣, horseback riding, archery 🏹, or even fruit picking~ The wet meadows on a rainy day are surprisingly therapeutic. Slowly soaking in the relaxed mountain wilderness, every casual shot turns into an atmospheric travel masterpiece. When you're tired from playing outdoors, duck into the handicraft workshop. You can experience making fridge magnets, tie-dye, and traditional local ethnic crafts like Jiamas~ Quietly making unique handicrafts, with the misty mountains outside the window and peace and comfort inside, you can slowly settle your travel emotions. The slow-paced, rainy-day vibe is perfectly captured here. No need to rush between different attractions; an entire ranch belongs to you. No crowded tourists, just grasslands, forests, and gentle mountain breezes. Even if I didn't get to see the snow mountain as planned, I found a unique kind of Lijiang mountain romance here. From the room, opening the window reveals the entire ranch. The wooden cabin is warm and healing, and the air after the rain is full of the fresh scent of grass and trees. Instead of fixating on checking off popular snow mountain spots, come here to immerse yourself in slow travel. For sisters worried about not seeing scenery during the rainy season in Lijiang, this place is a must-book!

The hotel offers horse riding, archery, DIY crafts, and tie-dye. There's also a bonfire party in the evening. So many activities, I didn't even get a chance to try the afternoon tea. The view from the window is stunning; listening to the birds and watching the horses graze peacefully makes for an incredibly relaxing experience.

This is exactly the slow-paced life and strong local cultural vibe we were looking for. There are so many activities here that we didn't even need to go out. Since we'd already visited Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, we just hiked around the property. The staff were simple and kind, lacking the refined speech you might find in more developed areas, but that's precisely the kind of interaction we wanted our children to experience. All our requests were met without hesitation. Regarding hygiene, considering it's a ranch in the mountains, a few bugs are to be expected and completely normal.

It's been a week since I got back, and I'm still reminiscing about the guesthouse I stayed at in Lijiang, missing its natural beauty and delicious food. First off, I have to commend the service—it was truly excellent. After a four-hour drive from Dali, arriving here felt just like coming home. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to help. They even put an oxygen machine in our room, worried we might suffer from altitude sickness, and there were fresh fruits and tea drinks daily. The only downside was the abundance of flies, especially in the restaurant. Having flies buzzing around while eating wasn't a great experience. This might be due to the horses they keep, and I really hope they can improve on this. Additionally, there weren't many activities for children, so two days felt just right. Despite that, this place is definitely worth experiencing! It's truly beautiful, and I loved it here!!
