Lijiang Snow Mountain stone house

Our first stop in Lijiang was Shitoucuo, and it's an absolutely amazing hotel! I loved its overall style, which is distinctly ethnic yet beautifully blended with modern elements. The staff were all incredibly welcoming. The hotpot for dinner was delicious, and the fried rice was excellent too. The hotel activities were also fantastic – horse riding and fruit picking were both a lot of fun. They even provide transfers to Baisha and Yuhu Village, which was super convenient. I'll definitely be coming back to Shitoucuo next time I'm in Lijiang!

The hotel isn't big, but the service is excellent. The front desk staff are great, the butler service is fantastic, and everyone was wonderful. A special shout-out to "Naxi Louis Koo" – he's handsome, can hold his liquor, drives well, loves hiking, and is a great conversationalist. His service was enthusiastic, and everything he said felt genuine. Saying he's handsome might be a slight exaggeration, but he definitely deserves a good review!

Our friend recommended this amazing guesthouse at the entrance of Yuhu Village, and the meticulous care and attention truly exceeded our expectations. They don't treat you like a distant 'god,' but rather like a caring friend who anticipates your every need and even goes beyond. Firstly, they ensure your arrival and departure are hassle-free; since we booked for two nights, they provided pick-up and drop-off from the train station and airport. Secondly, it's a 'one night, two meals, and one afternoon tea' package, meaning breakfast and dinner are included. The Laxi spare rib hotpot for dinner was so generous we couldn't finish it all, and the afternoon tea starting at 2:30 PM is substantial enough to fill you up even if you skip lunch – it's practically three meals a day! There's also 24/7 complimentary coffee, milk tea, and various soft drinks, plus unlimited fresh fruit, so you'll never know what hunger feels like. The rooms are ultra-modern, with Xiao Du (smart assistant) always ready to serve, and aromatherapy candles to help you relax. Daily activities are plentiful too: forest foraging, horseback riding, Naxi traditional weaving, making roasted milk tea, and crafting – you won't get bored even if you just stay at the hotel. You can also opt for a paid activity like horseback riding and hiking in the Grand Canyon for a close encounter with Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. In short, you won't be disappointed.

I first stayed here 2-3 years ago, and this time I comfortably spent three days. I have to say, it's become my hidden gem of a hotel. I'm usually wary of overly intimate or enthusiastic service, but Shitoucuo made me feel like an accidental guest joining in, with a comfortable sense of distance. I love every space in the hotel and every person there; they're more like lively little sprites.

The environment here is beautiful, and the service is excellent. It's located right at the foot of a snowy mountain, with the stunning Jade Lake nearby. My experience was fantastic; all the staff were very welcoming and there was a great variety of activities to choose from.
