With a warm cup of tea in hand, you look up to see snow-capped mountains and blooming flowers in harmony, and the hustle and bustle of the world gently fade away. As night falls, the bonfire ignites punctually at 7 PM, and Lijiang's night sways gently amidst song and dance. Wake up to a heartwarming complimentary breakfast, and find the guest room thoughtfully stocked with snacks and drinks. The staff are all smiles, as friendly and warm as neighbors. A five-minute walk takes you to the prayer flags fluttering at the blessing site, and in ten minutes, you're immersed in the vibrant life of Baisha Old Town—here, every ordinary day is a poem and a distant dream.

This is an excellent place to stay for anyone looking to unwind and catch the sunrise. It is approximately 15 minutes from the key sunrise (日照金山) viewing spots and about 30 minutes from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (玉龙雪山). The location offers a thoughtful balance of convenience and tranquillity. Ride-hailing via DIDI is straightforward (there’s always a ride confirmed within a few seconds), and Baisha Ancient Town (白沙古镇) is less than a 10-minute walk away. For those planning to visit Shuhe Ancient Town (束河古镇) and Lijiang Ancient City (丽江古城), they are about 15 minutes and 30 minutes away respectively. Yundu (云渡) is well-situated for both nature excursions and easy access to the surrounding towns. The service is excellent—my room was consistently cleaned while I was at breakfast—and other meals (lunch/dinner) can be ordered from the kitchen at very reasonable prices. One of the highlights of my stay, however, was returning each day to their seven-month-old Samoyed, who is friendly and playful whenever he is not entertaining other guests. I initially planned to stay four nights but extended to seven because of the cosy atmosphere, convenient location, and daily playtime with Sanjin (三斤). You can also ask the front desk or message them on WeChat anytime—everyone there is so friendly and helpful. One day, they even surprised me with a bun from Henan, which was such a sweet touch.

Overall, a great stay to explore nearby attractions. The interior has a nice mix of Chinese style and modern features. The room and bathroom are spacious and well-equipped—with a heated toilet seat, disposable towels, and air-conditioning. You can relax in the public area with a pot of tea. Breakfast is simple but tasty. I enjoyed their local noodles, bread and fruit tea. Just note that the dining area is a bit small. The location is convenient, within walking distance to Baisha Old Town. On the way you will find a convenience store with fruit and grocery, local eateries, and a restaurant called 绿也 nearby. It seems a bit pricey for the average service, but good for afternoon tea and dessert after exploring the old town. You can also take a short cab ride to 牧羊咖啡, a lovely café with a garden—great for relaxing while watching the snow mountains. Besides u can find interesting cafes, western bakery, Wine store, soaps, ice-cream made from yunnan tea, and artistic decos in the old town.

Out of my entire Yunnan trip, the four nights I spent in Lijiang were the most satisfying. For less than 300 a night, I got a guesthouse that exceeded all expectations (though it was off-season pricing). Our room was on the top floor, the third floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows. Drawing back the curtains offered a direct view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and we got to see the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun' phenomenon. The hygiene was excellent; no hairs on the bed or floor, very clean. All the amenities were basically new and well-suited to guests' habits. No mosquitoes or insects. The bathrobes were very warm, a big plus. The host was incredibly nice. They added me on WeChat and were always responsive and quick to reply. They even provided us with complimentary pickup and drop-off services (from the airport to the guesthouse, and from the guesthouse to the high-speed rail station, both arranged by the host). This place is definitely the most satisfying accommodation I've ever stayed in.

Definitely a must go! The location is not far from baisha ancient town, we were able to walk there at ease. There are free breakfast in the morning to save our time if we are in a hurry to the next place. Love the service attitude, it is so convenient that the owner knows Cantonese which help us a lot with understanding the amenities around here~ I want to thank young 轩轩 for having a super friendly and helpful attitude, she was so warm and welcoming it made our stay so happy 🥰

The weather was absolutely perfect when I arrived, so I spontaneously decided to upgrade to a room on the third floor. In Yunnan, where temperatures vary greatly between day and night, it was incredible not to have to brave the cold morning air to see the sunrise. Instead, I could just lie in my room and watch the 'sun-kissed golden mountains' through the floor-to-ceiling windows – it was truly a wonderful feeling! The room itself was beautiful, spotless, and tidy. The central air conditioning kept it consistently warm like spring, and the facilities were well-appointed with thoughtful touches everywhere. I've already recommended it to friends; it's genuinely worth a visit!

Location: Nestled in a quiet spot within Baisha Ancient Town, it's a peaceful and comfortable area. A straight 5-minute walk takes you to the main street of Baisha Ancient Town. The ancient town has traffic restrictions; after 6 PM, external vehicles can drive directly to the accommodation's entrance. At other times, you'll need to alight outside and have the accommodation pick you up. Usually, a 5-minute golf cart ride from the accommodation gets you there, which is very convenient. Taxis are also easy to find. Room: I had a special request before checking in, and to my surprise, they upgraded my room type upon arrival – truly thoughtful! The room was spacious, and the accommodation provided not only disinfected towels but also disposable ones for guests to choose from. The family room has a bubble pool and a bathing area for kids, which can be prepared by the staff. Due to the abundance of greenery, there might be small insects, but usually, closing the screens and windows prevents any major issues. The accommodation also thoughtfully provided shawls, sun protection, and even sleep spray. The entire room is smart-controlled, which is very convenient. From the rooftop, you can directly see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. If you want to catch the sunrise over the golden mountain, just head up there. For sunset, the sunlight falls on the mountains on the other side, offering a different kind of beauty. Service: Everyone here is incredibly thoughtful and friendly. A group chat was set up on the day of check-in, and any questions I had were answered within a minute. They anticipate guests' needs even more comprehensively than I do. They even specially recorded a video to guide us, which was a level of attentive service I hadn't even imagined. Many thanks! Food: For breakfast, there's freshly made rice noodles or congee. Just let them know in the group chat, and you can have it within 15 minutes. They also offer complimentary afternoon tea and sweet soup, not to mention small snacks. The desserts for afternoon tea were all different, and if you don't like tea, you can order coffee. The sweet soup in the evening was perfectly to my taste – subtly sweet, not overly rich, and wonderfully moisturizing in the dry environment. Overall, it was an excellent experience. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Baisha Ancient Town!
