Passing-cloud Resort

If the owner and the staff wanted to create a homely stopover for travellers. They have succeeded exceedingly well. All the young staff are well trained, warm, caring and helpful, something very important for weary travellers. Thank you for taking good care of me.

This hotel was amazing ! The location is great, 10 minutes walk to the Cable Car to go up the mountain. 15 minutes walk to the entrance to the waterfall hiking route. The rooms are clean and spacious. The pool is huge and beautiful with mountains as a backdrop ! The breakfast, however, was very Chinese (congee, noodles, baozi), but very yummy if you like Chinese food. The staff was super friendly. They helped us with directions, they helped us book a car to the station, and they even gave us a nice gift at the end of our stay ! I totally recommend this hotel if you are wanting to visit Sanqingshan.

The hotel is in a complex that seems to have stopped construction halfway to completion, perhaps a sign of what you will get. We chose it for its great location (close to park entrance), it’s pool, and (because of its high price) nice rooms and good service. Sadly it’s pool was full of large clumps of algae when we arrived. We were told that the filter machine was broken and that recent weather had made them unable to clean it. They emptied it and refilled it with water from the fire hydrant. By our third day there we were able to use it but it was green dirty water. They insisted that they do not use chemicals in the pool. They never called professionals to fix the pool. In general, for the price, I expected a decent vacation hotel. But like many similar ‘resorts’ in high tourist regions they charge a high price but do not get the fundamentals correct. There is breakfast but no restaurant. They provide coffee, tea, and water but no ice, soft drinks, or alcohol. The rooms have nice beds but small windows. The bathroom towels are terrible. Nice common living room spaces. Service was friendly but not anything like professional hotel service in a city. And the pool is big and nice but when I was there it was disgusting.
