Sonder Inn

This guesthouse is so memorable it's made me remember the name Waiguanpei Village. It's conveniently located but still has that charming, secluded feel. Being right at the village entrance makes it easy to explore the whole place. The village itself is quite lively, with plenty of friendly locals. I even bought a watermelon from a fruit stand at the entrance. It truly feels like a hidden paradise.

Pros: 1. The auntie's cooking was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and appropriately enthusiastic. 2. The room was very clean with no mosquitoes or bugs at all. 3. It's close to the Guapei Ancient Town trail, and very convenient for visiting Siming Lake and other nearby attractions, all within a 40-minute to 1.5-hour drive. 4. The interior design is very tasteful; I especially loved the lighting in the room. At night, the entire building looks like an exquisite ornament from the outside.

In terms of dormitory hardware, the B&B is at the ceiling level among the surrounding areas. The overall design is great and the details are great everywhere. Maybe it’s because the neighbors are celebrating the New Year, so there aren’t many people around. The village is very quiet, especially at night when the sky is very dark and you can see the stars. The boss is from Shanghai, very good at communication and enthusiastic.

The room is very comfortable (the bathroom system is all Kohler, the water pressure is very strong, and the bath is very comfortable). The B&B will also recommend you many places to visit in the surrounding area. After dinner, when we return to the B&B, they will also ask us if we want to make a bonfire.

I actually met my child’s classmates in this B&B surrounded by mountains and water! ! ! The next day, the mountain view was even more beautiful in the mist and rain. I hope the ancient village and the environment can be well protected. If the garbage in the stream can be cleaned up, it may become more beautiful! I hope I’ll have the opportunity to go hiking next year.

We were originally planning to go there during the Mid-Autumn Festival, but we encountered Typhoon Bebejia, and they agreed to reschedule our tickets, so we chose to go during the National Day holiday. Interestingly, we avoided the typhoon and had 3 days of continuous rainfall. We who like hiking did not stop, but we got an unexpected surprise. If it weren't for the rain, how could we enjoy the soul-stirring water in the whole valley... The B&B is very convenient, right next to the hiking trail. After a six-kilometer walk, you can wash and rest. There is a gurgling stream in front of the door, and children are playing and fighting inside the house. They especially like the tatami and can lie down however they want. I like the whole layout of the house, the facilities are exquisite, the hair dryer, toilet and multi-kinetic faucet, and the dry and wet separation is done very well. Dabao had an online class and used their tea room directly, while we took a nap nearby. Order a cup of coffee and a Coke, and have fun. I had dinner at their house both days, and also had a bowl of noodles, both were very good, right? I drank a bottle of their red wine with my mom and told her in advance that the boss had taken care of it. The steamed white strips were great, very fatty, and the braised pork with bamboo shoots... I couldn't get enough of the local chicken soup at Long Jiale next door. Next time if I go there, I will ask the boss to pack it for me to eat 😄 There are still many fun places nearby if you drive by yourself... Study it slowly~

Overall satisfactory, the shortcomings are as follows: 1. The curtain is not long enough, the light leaks seriously, affecting rest 2. The shower room floor drain is blocked, the water is draining slowly, causing water to overflow, easy to slip, and the room is more humid 3. The quilt is a fiber quilt. At this price, it would be better to provide a down quilt

There is a stream near the B&B where you can play in the water, but there are ducks there, so the water is not very clean. The sanitary facilities in the room are all good, after all, it has been opened for a short time, but the sound insulation is really poor. The flushing and running sounds of the neighbors upstairs and the talking in the lobby outside can all be heard clearly. I didn't sleep well at night because it was too noisy.

Facilities: What you see is what you get. Just like the official videos and photos, it’s a completely different feeling to be there in person. The designer's use of light is really great. The bathroom hardware is all Kohler and the boss has good taste. Hygiene: Clean Service: The girl at the front desk was very responsive I stayed there for two days and met the boss on the second day. The boss traveled around the world and came back to his hometown, wanting to open a B&B in his own way, one that was warm and tasteful. The next day, he chatted with us until midnight and even treated us to champagne🍾. Will definitely come back in a while. By the way, because we brought children with us, there was a stream just two steps away from the B&B. On a 40-degree day, the stream was cool and the children had a lot of fun playing in it. An unintentional choice turned into a beautiful memory.
