Very close to Nevada Beach with access to great food nearby, safeway across the street for shopping and some fun parks and playgrounds nearby for the kids!

We traded into resort with RCI and besides the $299 exchange fee we were required to pay an additional $108 fee because we only spent 5 nights instead of 7 and then when we wanted to use WiFi it was an additional $49 to have access to it. The unit had a dirty washcloth hanging on rod for shower curtain and we never saw housekeeping even though we had to pay $108 fee. Shower rod in main bathroom was not stable. They have Murphy bed and we checked it out and the leg had a bolt with a nut missing. Good thing we didn’t try to use it. Complained to front desk no satisfaction. DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE

My family & I (8 people in total) stayed at Club Wyndham South Shore (previously known as Worldmark South Shore) from July 19 to Jul 26, 2025 for our annual family summer vacation. My parents (who are Club Wyndham Owners) used their points to book us a 3 bedroom unit. The unit we got was in Building 7 on the 3rd floor (right next to the elevator). The 3-bedroom unit was certainly very spacious for our entire family. My sister's young kids (Aged 5 & 3) loved being to run around and play within the unit. My other sister enjoyed spending mornings on the balcony sipping on coffee before the start of our day around Lake Tahoe. One of the pros for this resort was that it's quite close to Nevada Beach. It's only a 10 minute walk to the beach and it most of the walk is along a walking/biking trail that leads directly to the beach. The main con we had was the fact that our family was assigned to an ADA room, so the shared bathroom had an accessible-type shower instead of a standard tub. Due to this shower design, anyone using the shower would splash water out very easily and would cause considerable amount of water to flow out of the shower area an into the main bathroom area around the toilet. After a couple of us took showers, there was so much water that leaked that it caused a stream of water to flow out of the bathroom and into the hallway. Needless to say, the shower design was absolutely horrible. The main reason for this critical flaw was that the shower curtain (or the shower rod) was too short. It left about a 6 inch gap between the bottom of the curtain and the floor. We had to reach out to the front desk about this matter, and they even sent a maintenance person over to check it out since the water leak caused water to leak to the unit on the 2nd floor below ours. Their only solution was to place extra towels on the ground near the lip of area between the shower floor and the bathroom floor. In fact, they even provided us with a large bag of clean towels so that they can be used for this exact purpose. Besides that issue, the rest of our stay at this resort was alright. I'm still willing to give this location 3 out of 5 until they fix that critical flaw mentioned above.

There are many nice things about this resort: location, functionality, cleanliness, etc. But have you noticed that Wyndham properties often don't quite deliver what the salespeople lead owners to believe. At this resort, despite using two units with a total of five bedrooms, the staff told me that my family could park only two cars on the property, and other cars would have to park on the street. The excuse: "That's the way the resort was built." So, all of that stuff about getting together with family wasn't considered when they built the resort? An additional unhappy point is that the twin beds are not comfortable: The murphy bed was better, but not quite convenient for adults! The wifi was nonfunctional in one of the units, and despite having paid ResortNet2 for 10 days, those days apparently don't work at other resorts, and ResortNet2 does not answer the phone, so we've ended up paying them for a lot of undelivered service. Wyndham denies responsibility because "it's a third- party vendor." Other than those issues and the mechanical hum that subtly reverberated in our bedroom all night every night, we had a wonderful visit.
Response from Property: Thank you for leaving a review of your stay with us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your overall stay. We will ensure your concerns regarding the visit are passed along to resort management so that we may continue to improve in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay at South Shore! We had a top floor corner unit which was great because It had vaulted ceilings, making it feel more spacious. It was close to the elevator, which was convenient. It was in building 12 right next to the covered hot tub. And it was a corner unit, so we could be loud without disturbing other guests. The snow made everything gorgeous and we had a so much fun playing ping pong in the clubhouse. All in all, it was just a fabulous vacation!
Response from Property: Thank you for sharing your review. We are so happy to hear you had a great stay with us! We love when our guests have a great time on vacation, and we hope to see you on the next one.

Very well located at a wonderful area near South Lake Tahoe. A large number of natural attractions nearby. A rented car is absolutely necessary. Emerald Bay, Kings Beach and other attractive places all over the Lake wait for you. Totally recommend.

Our family (my wife and I, our two kids and spouse, and three grandkids) had a very nice four night stay. The location is great - just far enough from the crowds of Stateline but convenient to a supermarket and restaurants. The three bedroom, 2 bath unit was spacious, clean, and well appointed, and the grounds were very well cared for.
Response from Property: Thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback and are glad you had a positive experience at our resort. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better stay in the future.

We had a great 2-bedroom suite in building 8 (free upgrade from 1-bedroom). Our third floor room was spacious and comfortable. There was no air conditioning but it was not needed. Our building had an elevator but was not handicapped-accessible (as 7 steps were needed to access the building). Other buildings were fully accessible. I suspect that the 2-story buildings had no elevator but did not confirm. The location was perfect. Services such as Safeway and restaurants were close and parking was convenient and plentiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I would give zero stars to this dump if I could. The front desk staff is unfriendly and completely unhelpful; the manager on duty clearly didn’t want to be there and wouldn’t even look at me when speaking. If you book a 3-bedroom suite, you only get one parking spot on-property and are given a “parking pass” for your second car, which you are supposed to use to park across the street, on the side of the road (not even a parking lot), in a tow away zone. When I pointed out that the guest parking was simply street parking in a tow away zone (when it’s snowing), I was told to “figure it out.” And to make matters worse, the on-property parking lot was less than half full (this was during shoulder season). Stay away from this place.
