Yunshang Tea Garden (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Yuanjiajie Tea Factory)

Overall such a beautiful peaceful accomodation with easy access to zhanjiajie, definitely recommend! Tucked away, really quiet and peaceful, with access to an amazing sunset spot and unlimited local tea! I could have spent much longer just in this place as it was so peaceful and had access to walks and areas that the zhangjiajie masses wouldn’t know about. Evenings were warm and peaceful, and as long as you’re okay with crickets and grasshoppers it was so nice staying up late outside. The owner was knowledgable and spoke really good English and gave us a great itinerary for our 2 day trip. He seemed to be excellent at recommending quieter walks off the main areas, often requiring a fair hike but well worth it in such a beautiful area. We were lucky as it was beginning of September and overall not too busy, but during peak times I imagine this would be much needed. Food here is good value and pretty tasty, with lots of ingredients being grown on site which was really nice. More healthy veg dishes would be great tho as was in need of healthy dinners after eating crap out in the park all day! Only things losing points would be the cleanliness of the place. The toilet smelt and the wet room flooded quickly when the shower was on and would stay that way for a long time (b209 if you read this!). Also the tables we ate on were quite dirty and sticky and could have done with a clean. Little things that could be fixed easily and made the place much nicer. Overall tho deffo recommend if you want a quiet retreat in zhangjiajie with easy access to the main park

100% would recommend!!! Most beautiful place to stay within the national park. If you like unique places, you should stay here. From the hotel it’s a 10 min walk to the best view over the mountains. Very nice staff. Food was tasty. Beds were too hard for us but everything else makes up for this. Cute kitten aswell.

My two friends and I had an amazing trip to Zhangjiajie and it was because of our stay at here! With the tea farm right out your door, free tea and delicious food, you can enjoy everything Zhangjiajie has to offer. The staff are very helpful and kind, the food is local and authentic and we were able to get around with ease. The room was very nice, comfy and clean. The whole communal area was very comfy too and we had a lovely time with the other guests and the staff there. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a very chill, comfy, rustic and relaxing time in Zhangjiajie and the ability to travel around and take our time to see the sights. We wished we stayed there longer but we will be back soon!! Thank you!!

Nice place in the Zhangjailie national park, the staffs Alex and Romy are really helpful for my trip that helps me to organised the tick and suggested a nice trail to do it. I really recommend this place if you want to isolate from people

We had a wonderful stay at Tea Garden. It’s recommendable to stay inside the park to avoid the queues. The food is very good and there is a special flair. Alex speaks English and can give you helpful tips for an perfect route through the park. However the rooms are very rustic and there was no housekeeping during our stay. The shower smelled (in the beginning just a little, then even more). The beds are not very comfortable, although hard mattresses seem to be the thing in china. So if you can live with a little less comfort you will have a wonderful stay.

I didn’t know what to expect when booking to stay on the Tea Farm, but I can safely say that it is the best place to stay for visiting Zhangjiajie national park. Firstly, the location is great. You’re already on the mountain, so you can skip any of the queues that you’d have to sit in for hours to get in and out of the park each day if you stayed in Wulingyuan or Zhangjiajie city. Alex the host is the most helpful, welcoming and generous host. He helped us find all the best views and hikes on the mountain, whilst missing the crowd. Genuinely, the best view on the mountain, which he recommended, literally had no one around other than us. As a bonus, the food, free tea, accommodation and sunset viewing spot were amazing. For the cherry on top, the new puppy is adorable. We’ve made some new friends here that we’ll link up with back home, and I think it’s thanks to the vibe this place creates. Thank you for a great week, and if I ever come back to China, there’s no doubt I’ll be staying here!

Perfect hotel if you want to sleep into the park. They all speak English perfectly and you can dine there as well
