Ibis Hotel (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Entrance)

I stayed for two nights. The hotel is super close to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie Forest Park, just a 5-minute walk away. The room was really spacious, super awesome! 👍🏻

My stay at Ibis (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Flagship Store) was absolutely perfect! The hotel's location is unbeatable, less than a five-minute walk to the park entrance. The rooms with balconies are spacious and comfortable. The hotel facilities are excellent, with self-service laundry and drying equipment, plus a gym, so you can relax and work out after your travels. The service is attentive and comprehensive; staff can assist with ticket purchases and park entry reservations, and a dedicated butler is always available to answer questions and customize your itinerary. The thoughtful addition of a clothesline in the shower room shows great attention to detail. Robot delivery for meals is convenient and safe, making the entire experience hassle-free and pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.

Facilities: Excellent Hygiene: Clean Environment: Comfortable Service: First-class This is my top choice hotel in Zhangjiajie, mainly because it's super close to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, making its location absolutely prime. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and the Hunan Tujia cuisine is fantastic. The biggest plus is the excellent facilities, especially their fully smart toilets – definitely worthy of a global hotel chain. It was an incredibly comfortable stay. They also provide complimentary hiking bamboo sticks.

The room was very clean, and the service was excellent and attentive. The staff were diligent and responsible. Plus, it's very close and convenient to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

The hotel is very close to the East Gate, which was super convenient for catching the earliest tickets in the morning – I could walk there and get a bit more sleep. After a long day of exploring, it was great to be able to get back to the hotel quickly. The free self-service hiking poles at the hotel entrance were a lifesaver for all the walking! There are good restaurants, a Luckin Coffee, and a convenience store nearby, which is really handy. Charming Xiangxi is also within walking distance, and the hotel even offers discounted tickets for it.

On this trip, I stayed at Ibis (Wulingyuan), Quanjijia (Tianmen Mountain), and Orange Hotel (Fenghuang Ancient Town). These hotels are all in a similar category. In terms of price, from cheapest to most expensive, it would be Ibis - Orange Hotel - Quanjijia. However, for overall experience, the ranking would be Orange Hotel - Ibis - Quanjijia. For breakfast quality, ranked by deliciousness, it's Orange Hotel (24 RMB) - Quanjijia (48 RMB) - Ibis (35 RMB). The Quanjijia experience hasn't improved much from before; its competitors have caught up and surpassed it. Orange Hotel offered the best experience. The Ibis Wulingyuan branch has relatively new internal facilities and good hygiene. Its location is excellent, very close to the East Gate. However, the exterior environment is a bit run-down. The front desk staff's understanding of company policies varied, and it seemed to change constantly. In this regard, it's far inferior to Orange Hotel. Their attitude towards guests also felt quite transactional, lacking a personal touch.
