My stay was amazing. We came as a couple. The hotel is situated in a perfect place , it is easy for didis to find you, from your room you can see the Tianmen mountain, which has the “heaven’s gate”, we checked in at 2PM and the receptionist (Scarlet) helped us to find the place to get the tickets to go to the mountain. She was wonderful, she speaks English. The hotel itself is pretty, the garden is beautiful for taking pictures and they have a glass roof that is also great for pictures at an additional cost, the staff is amazing, the food is great, the room was clean! I will definitely recommend this hotel. It was a 10/10 experience!!!

During our visit to China, we stayed at the ‘Mr Sean Castle’ hotel from 29 July to 1 August 2024. The hotel is named after ‘Sean the Sheep’ (the character being a favourite of the owner apparently) and, being British, we thought this quirky theme was brilliant… you can see various models of Sean dotted around the hotel. The hotel was absolutely fabulous and the staff were all so friendly. As part of our reason for visiting China was to celebrate a 50th birthday, the Mr Sean Castle hotel kindly gave us an upgraded room, which was amazing. The hotel is in a great location close to downtown Zhangjiajie, but just far enough away to ensure you have a quiet and very peaceful night’s sleep away from any outside noise. The food at the hotel is first-class, including a great variety of delicious choices for breakfast. The hotel has an amazing open-air roof-top garden that is packed with beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees… it’s truly breathtaking to see, and was an amazing place to sit and eat as we watched a phenomenal lighting storm play out over the Zhangjiajie mountain range that forms the incredible backdrop to the hotel’s view over the river to the rear. As stated above, the hotel staff were fantastic, but particular thanks go to ‘Scarlett’ (张思嘉) for her assistance in helping us to arrange the tickets we needed to visit Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon… she sorted everything out for us and without her knowledge and help, our trip would definitely not have been as amazing as it was… thank you again Scarlett! We would fully recommend the Mr Sean Castle hotel to anyone planning to visit Zhangjiajie, and will definitely stay there again if we ever come back to the amazing city of Zhangjiajie… which is highly likely!

One of the best experiences of my life. We came to China as 4 friends wanting to experience this amazing but mysterious country, and ended up staying at Mr. Sean Hotel. The hotel itself had a great atmosphere, with clean and beautiful rooms, and the most amazing staff possible. Miss Scarlett has helped us every time we asked for anything. We will definitely return when given the chance next time.

This was our first time in Zhangjiajie and we wanted to visit both Zhangjiajie National Park and Tiamen mountain. The hotel is very close to Tiamen mountain Cable Car. It is about 40 minutes drive to Zhangjiajie National Park. The hotel is very beautiful and clean. It also has a pick up service from the High Speed Train Station which is helpful. We are foreigners and the staff's English was very limited, although they went out of their way to help and accommodate us. They helped us with location and plan how to get to certain places. We also got a complementary desert every night. We had very good wine although a bit expensive. It has a Western restaurant at the top of the hotel. The only negative thing was the bath's water filled up extremely slow and to take a bath it would take about 40 minutes to fill it up.

This hotel is fantastic! 5 star service. From the moment we arrived, the staff was there to greet us and gave us a complimentary beverage as we were checking in. They gave us a tour of the facilities, free map and overview of Zhangjiajie and possible excursions, and throughout the whole process were very hospitable and kind. The breakfasts and dinner options were delicious. Our view from our room was something we won’t forget. Definitely recommend.

Outstanding service and value! Romantic, classy immaculate room with a balcony facing Tienman Mountain. Top quality toiletries. The hotel is a tranquil oasis, yet have easy access to the main attraction. Concierge patiently explained how to get to and around the Mountain, and arranged for free ride to the airport. Wide variety of food for breakfast buffet. I have been recommending this hotel to others already.

Hotel was looks new and not many visitors. Service was good and quite happy for short stay.

The hotel was a pleasant surprise. 8 minutes away from the airport and within walking distance to the city centre and Tianmen cable wsy. The staff were really nice. I even got a hug from one of the ladies when I came back for lunch after a few days. They have a nice rooftop area with drinks and western food for a reasonable price. I guess it’s the only western food option available in the downtown apart from Starbucks and Macdonald’s. Very nice little balcony. The bathtub in the room has a step so it’s not very comfortable to take a bath. Overall, very pleasant experience for a very reasonable price even during the national holiday.

Stunning, and so close to tianmen Mountain. Food was as fantastic as the views, and staff were very friendly.
