ROY •Sean Castle Hotel (Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain Cableway)

Very good hotel, very convenient for local activities which can be booked at the reception. Clean and there is a nice view of Tianmen mountain. Rooms are clean and spacious. Only thing I would recommend is to add more fruits and juices to the breakfast options. But that's my take, maybe other don't mind.

Honestly this hotel in the pictures deceived us. It was really nothing like a castle. The only great parts of this hotel was the location being close to tianmen mountain. The hygiene of this hotel was not good at all, the first room they gave us the bathtub was leaking, which they gave us a new room. But the hygiene was not good, it's pretty old and outdated. The restaurant service for dinner was great! But it was too hot that we couldn't even sit in that restaurant any longer than 30 minutes. The swimming pool and play area for kids had mold on the ceiling which is dangerous for small babies as I had. So she could not play in that play area. The parking is also very tight and congested and the entrance to the hotel is very inconvenient. The elevator also had a bad smoke odor from people smoking inside it.

We enjoyed staying here. They could help us with booking passes for the Avatar Mountains (Zhangjiajie National Park) and the Tianmen cave on Tianzi Mountain. They speak good english and cared to make sure we were settled in our room, very helpful. The room was very big clean, tidy and looked after, modern castle style. Great views of the Mountains from the balcony. We could do our own laundry free - two washers, two dryers that work very well. Easy to get to places from here. We took Didi (Uber) to Avatar Mountains East Gate entrance (45mins-1hr), cheap as chips to us ($25 NZD for a two hour trip). Easy to catch Didi back from there or anywhere! Using your phone App only, or you may get ripped off by taxis parked there. Highly recommend staying here.

The nice part: Nice chateau-like building with a nice view of the Tianmen mountains from the room. Room was clean and huge. Staff were very attentive and emailed me offering to arrange transportation to the hotel from the train station. Downside: Breakfast was so-so. The hotel is not as near to the Tianmen Mountain cableway as some of the other alternatives in the area. You have to call a didi for a 5 min drive. Alternative you could walk but it will take 15 mins.

Very clean and comfortable room, the hotel itself and the amenities are excellent, amazing bathtub in the room. The staff is very kind and available, their support was really appreciated for all our requests. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely wonderful accommodation! The staff was very helpful and assisted us in purchasing tickets for Tianmen Mountain and the National Park. The location is excellent, close to pleasant restaurants and Tianmen Mountain, while the National Park is about a 40-minute drive away (via DiDi). Most importantly: the views from the mountain-facing rooms are breathtaking! It is a wonderful feeling to wake up to such a view!

Loved everything about the place only the entry through the back or through the restaurant is little tricky.
