Destination Inn

An incredible stay at Youth Hostel. Perfect customer service! The location is fantastic, very close to the park. The staff also includes a guide who gives you great advice on the different places to visit in the park, as well as the caves, lakes, and other attractions in the surrounding area.

the hotel is a perfect location very close to the East entrance of the Zhangjiajie national forest park, literally just a few minutes walk away. the hotel is clean and great customer service

The staff were very friendly and took the time to help us plan out our ZJJ itinerary, as well as buy tickets easily. They also gave us an annotated map so we could navigate easily in the park. The room was clean and comfortable. I really liked the view of the back of the hostel as it was very green with loads of birds to watch. The location of the hostel is fantastic, only a 5-10 minute walk to the park’s east entrance.

Tiny room, but the service top tier.

The service was beyond 5/5. Ralph and the receptionist were fluent in English. They helped us plan and execute the stay we wanted in the Zhangjiajie area. They assisted us with booking tickets and planning what we wanted to do at Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Grand Canyon and the Yellow Dragon Cave. It's way easier to just stay at Destination Inn and take local transport when wanting to explore Tianmen Mountain. Ralph gave clear directions on where to catch buses and the cost. The location is excellent. Destination Inn is situated only a few blocks from the National Forest Park entrance. You are surrounded by many diverse choices of places to eat. We loved the breakfast buffet a few doors down for 15 rmb. Our room backed onto the mountain with a wonderful view. Our room and the common areas were are kept very clean. Our bed was very comfortable and definitely larger than a queen. The rain head shower with ample hot water felt nice after being out in the wind and rain. Destination Inn is an excellent choice, especially for anyone not fluent in Chinese or not knowledgeable of the area.

What a wonderful stay at this hostel. The room was very spacious with a great shower (very nice after a long days hike). The hostel is situated just 5 minutes from the east gate, which was also super useful! The owner and other staff members were extremely helpful and really welcoming. We even went to a CNY celebration where we shared a meal with the people and tourists in Zhangjiajie. It was a truly wonderful experience.

It's a nice hostel close to the east gate entrance of the nature park. It does however need some maintenance and seems to be a bit outdated. The showers need some caulking, if not i fear they'll soon have some water damage.
