Wulingyuan/Forest Park
Beautiful Hotel but it's landlocked. Transportation is really the only problem . Getting to The park has 1 bus at 8 am and back at 6 pm .. 30 rmb. They didn't come back to pick us up so quite a few calls were needed. Hotel staff are awesome, friendly and eager to help. If you want to go to Tianmen Mountain it's 200 rmb each way but only 27 Km . The hotel is far superior than others but what you save you will spend in transportation. My only suggestion to the hotel is to provide better transportation services to all the different park entrances.

Wulingyuan/Forest Park
A very nice place if you like staying in nature , the service is very homey , all the staff try their best to please the costumers , the view and the houses are amazing and special.. how ever you should know what you are getting your self into before booking it because the hotel is in the middle of the mountains , very far from the city and all the tourism places which will cost alot to find a taxi that agree to cross the road . We booked two nights drove 4hours from changsha and arrived at 7:30 -8 pm,to find that all the roads was closed (under constructions) we drove around the mountains until 1:30am and the poor staff girl waited for us under the tunnel all that time to take us but we couldn't pass ,finally we stayed in another hotel . And they agreed to skip this day and upgraded our room and the hotel owner came her self and apologized which was so genuine because its not their fault .. just keep in mind this tip , to get to the hotel before 8 pm and you will be good. One more thing they don't agree to take a cash deposit only from credit card and there is no ATM near by so take cash and card with you . Over all its a nice place for the people who want to be away from the city and relax .

Wulingyuan/Forest Park
It is worthy of being the most beautiful homestay in Zhangjiajie. The atmosphere is designed to blend with nature. It is super like the tall, sturdy eucalyptus that has no life but is very vital. The butler service provided by the hotel is very good, Xiaomin is meticulous and intimate, and has made detailed route planning for us, so as to avoid the pains of inquiring around the hot days and to make a smooth tour; to do the other requirements one by one, praise one. The through-train service provided by the property is very convenient and takes two rides to save time. Bedding and toiletries are good. The Long Tail Village, where the B&B is located, is fresh and refreshing, and you can take a walk in the evening. Two suggestions: 1. The bed is wide, although it has been rounded, but hard, bumping the calf, or should be soft. 2, the refrigerator should be placed under the low cabinet, put on the ground appears free, open the door easy to move.

Zhangjiajie Hotel Guide

The Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is the first national forest park in China. The scenic area is covered by old-growth forests in addition to jagged stone pillars and scenic waterfalls. Some of the scenery in the Hollywood movie, Avatar, was based on the mountains found in Zhangjiajie’s national park. In addition to the national park, the city is home to Mount Tianmen, which is not far from the urban area, and the Huanglong Cave in the eastern mountains. Visitors have the opportunity to climb the cliffs and check out the magnificent karst landscapes in the cave.

Zhangjiajie Forest Park has accommodation areas in Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, and Mount Tianzi. The Tianbo House in the Yangjiajie area is a viewing platform on the top of the mountain and ideal for taking spectacular pictures. However, the trails for taking pictures here are very dangerous and narrow and require special attention for safety reasons. Zhangjiajie Forest Park takes up a huge area, so keep in mind that there’s no need to visit all of the attractions within it. If you try to visit all of them, it’s easy to get tired out, which can greatly reduce the quality of your trip.

In spring, Zhangjiajie is full of flowers and spring scenery. Autumn in Zhangjiajie is cool and refreshing, especially after the rain. Park visitors can climb high platforms in the mountains and look around from above. The thousands of peaks appear to be a sea of stones and trees. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is a well-known tourist attraction in China, and it is visited by many during all days of the week. During major holidays, the park is often quite literally filled with people. During these times, it is common for lines to cable cars and elevators to require lining up for around two hours. For this reason, it’s best visit outside of the peak seasons.

Accommodation area in Zhangjiajie is mainly divided into urban areas (Yongding district), scenic spots areas (inside Zhangjiajie National Forest Park) and Wulingyuan area, among which the urban area is a residential area where tourists choose more. During the peak tourism season in Zhangjiajie, the rooms are in high demand and need to be booked in advance. There are many kinds of hotels in Zhangjiajie’s urban area, so there is plenty of selection. The surrounding commercial areas are relatively developed and public transportation is convenient. And there are high-end hotels and inns of various levels. During peak season, hotels in Zhangjiajie should be booked in advance. Accommodations in the scenic area are mainly in the form of farmhouses. In the winter, many farmhouses temporarily close, so it’s best to consult the place you’d like to stay if possible before booking. Some benefits of staying in the scenic area are that it’s close to the Wulingyuan Ticket Station of the Forest Park and it’s also convenient to visit Huanglong Cave. However, it should be noted that the prices of accommodations in Wulingyuan are not cheap and the facilities are not as developed as the downtown area.
