Zhangzhou Laizhu Homestay

The hotel is located on the ground floor of a high-rise residential complex, a short distance from Zhangzhou Station. There is no reception; check-in is done via text message, which can be quite inefficient for non-Chinese-speaking tourists. The entrance is dark, dirty, dilapidated, and poorly marked; it resembles the entrance to a cellar. The surrounding area is also not particularly well-maintained. Unfortunately, the room we were assigned did not match the one in the photo: after a difficult check-in (the owners apparently were unaware of our reservation), the room we received had no windows. There was only one window in the bathroom, whose door had no handle. Cockroaches are present.

I absolutely loved this hotel! From check-in to check-out, the entire experience was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable, with attention to detail and exceptionally attentive service. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area, and I highly recommend it! 👍
