When we arrived at the Star Reception, the summer vacation was over, but there were still many people. We were given wristbands (this is the iconic pass for Shapotou Scenic Area. Pass through the Shapotou Desert, pass the swimming pool and go up to the lobby. Once you get the room card, you can enter the house. We stayed in a sand-view double room, which is on the second floor. I personally think it is better than the first floor because it is five square meters larger and has a bathtub (with a disposable bathtub cover), a shower, a washroom and a toilet (with alcohol wipes and children's toiletries). The children can play well when they go out. There is enough drinking water, the daily fruits are very fresh, and there are various drinks in the refrigerator. Free, refillable at any time, equipped with capsule coffee machine. Full range of toiletries, L'Occitane, nice, landscape bathtub, nice too. Both restaurants are good for breakfast and dinner. The closer Star Restaurant offers small hot pot for dinner. The main building has a Chinese and Western buffet. The sheep's trotters are super delicious and highly recommended. If you want to stargazing, try to avoid the period around the 15th day of the ***** calendar. There are very few moon stars. If you have children, play in the sand in the morning and evening. The children were very excited to see such a bright starry sky for the first time! Through indoor explanations and outdoor stargazing activities, a lot of astronomy-related knowledge was popularized. The hotel is also very convenient to the nearby Shapotou Scenic Area. There are special car transfers, surfing bikes, camel rides, and sandboarding, etc., which made us unforgettable!
