Zhuhai Hengqin Hotel Indigo

We booked this hotel based on the pictures and room layout. The hotel architecture and room layout were very nice, but the bar at level 17 was full of ozone and kitchen smoke and was very difficult to breathe inside. I had to sit as close as possible to the open window so that I could even order a drink without feeling sick. I can't believe people have to work in that environment, it must be damaging their lungs everyday. And the lungs of every person staying there. The bar service was incredibly slow as well. We ordered 2 drinks, and received 1 of them after about 15 mins and the other one 5-10mins later. My guess is the hotel restaurant kitchen exhaust just dumps into the bar intake and just gets stuck inside the building. There was no fresh air to be found in the bar. In addition it was incredibly hot inside and I was sweating just sitting trying to have my drink. The restaurant had good food, but the ceilings were covered in mold. Most of the hotel had a mold smell about it and I woke up with a headache and brain fog the next morning. I wouldn't recommend staying here since it's too remote to get food or drinks outside of the property. With only 1 restaurant and 1 bar and the bar being almost unusable it's not a great place. No tenants are open, the place is basically all half finished so it makes the stay far less fulfilling when you have no options. The front desk staff was good overall though, and we did enjoy the room layout, just not the mold, ozone, and hot/humid indoor environment.
