Conveniently located, the number 3 tram stop is right next to the hotel. The two-star hotel, breakfast buffet is relatively simple, but also basically has the category. Fruit, hot milk, coffee, cold milk and cereals, juice, a variety of bread, meat, cheese, and an egg cooker can cook eggs yourself. There are four beds in the quadruple room. The hand washing, the toilet and the shower room are separate and convenient. Health is very good. No disposable toothbrushes are provided. There is no air conditioner but there is a fan to catch up with the heat wave in Europe. It is very comfortable to open the window and sleep at night. Overall it is a small and exquisite small hotel, recommended.

I had to book this quickly last minute for a company event this week in Zurich but I had no idea that a room (that was previously the OFFICE, as I learned from the receptionist) could be situated next to the rear entrance, where employees enter/leave, smoke and park their motorcycles and bikes? I asked for a better room right when I was checking in but they were full. And no one offered me a better room during the week. I could rarely keep my window open during a warm week here - and the smokers outside didn't make it possible either. I could hear EVERYTHING in the lobby, which is just on the other side of my door and the door to the vestibule. And on top of all this, they charge over $400 a night?? I'm already over budget for this room and I'll have trouble with my company when I file the expense report but what makes this worse is that IT'S NOT WORTH A DIME. The owner is clearly trying to squeeze as much out of tourists as possible. And I wasn't in a position to complain all week when I was working over 12 hours a day. TERRIBLE!!! PS: The staff are nice and breakfast buffet very good.

Staying for two days on business, I feel very good. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The location is also very close to the No. 4 tram, which can be directly connected to Zurich HB. The curly-haired little brother at the front desk is very good, help write the route. If you go again next time, you should choose this one.

A very affordable hotel at switzerland, especially Zurich. Given that most bnb was quite expensive and not quite affordable for a young traveller like me. This hotel is good as in the environment and service. Close to supermarket and tram stations also. (Roughly 5mins walk)

Lovely welcome and stay at Hotel St. Gotthard, Our rooms were well appointed with the most comfortable and cozy bedding! Tall ceilings and lots of room for giant suitcaes. Zaour at the Front Desk went above and beyond to help us with massage reservations and dinner suggestions. He was kind and patient and everything you would hope from a lovely hotel. Just up the street from the train station, the location was just perfect. We stayed 2 nights in September of 2022 and will definitely be back! Thank you!

It's in the old town, it's about 15 minutes walk. The lady at the front desk was very welcoming and there was free lemon mint water at the reception. Next to the shopping street, it is also close to Lake Zurich. The room was clean and the facilities were complete. The German breakfast was nutritious.

We arrived a day early for our tour and didn’t think our room would be available yet, but the front staff asked for 15 minutes to check with house keeping. We lucked out and our rooms were available early. 300ish room courtyard side which is only one floor up. Bit of noise from the other side of the hotel due to construction, but not noticeable in our room. Great air con or use the large windows. Shower very hot so you don’t need to set it too high. Bit more modern than my taste, but grows on you and not garish colours. Easy tram ride to the old town for site seeing or take a stroll along the river beside the part. Wonderful gardens. Breakfast is plentiful and can be chaos in the morning when there are three groups in the hotel. Suggestion: Move the centre aisle of tables half a foot to the left so the the aisle on the right when you face the food is a bit larger. Use the first table on the right for the bowls and plates. Helps out those that are shorter. The people flow is better when it is right to left since the coffee machines are on the left. We did this flow the last day in the hotel with our group and it was less congested at the coffee.

Elegant, older, well maintained, albeit a bit dated, the hotel is located directly across the street from the Zurich main train station and trolleys. If, as we did, you want to be within easy walking distance of the train station this is a great location. If you want to be in a very quiet location on or close to the lake, this is not where you want to stay. There is a small grocery store in the underground passageway to the train station. The hotel common areas are well-maintained, and it has a small bakery and bar that serves a very good dinner. There is a separate restaurant space on the second floor that only serves breakfast, and the food and the staff are excellent and it’s fairly priced. However, the hotel does not have a conventional restaurant. The lobby and rooms are small by american standards, but very quiet and well-appointed, have a good bed and the bathroom has a bath/shower combo with very good water pressure (and air conditioning). The small electric refrigerator in the room was set up as a mini-bar, but it was ok to remove the bottles. It does not get very cold. We were upgraded to a small suite with a sitting room, so I don’t know what a standard room would be like. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. There did not appear to be a concierge. The hotel allowed us to check-out 2 hours later, which we appreciated. All in all, a very good hotel for the price. However, if you’re looking for a very high-end american-style hotel, this may not be for you, but you should expect to pay two to three times more for those hotels
