Park Hyatt Zurich

It seems clear to me that the quality of customer service in travel has greatly deteriorated in the last three years. I understand that service providers have trouble finding and retaining people and the ones they have often don’t seem to take pride in their work. Sadly, I’ve come to accept this as the “new normal.” Which is why our recent three-night stay at the Park Hyatt in Zurich was such a welcome surprise. Not only was our room clean and comfortable but the service we received, from start to finish, was efficient and personal. Just a few examples: We had a flight delay and airport transfer difficulty arriving to Zurich and did not get to the hotel until after 1:00. The gentleman working the front desk who checked us in, got us waters, helped with our bags and personally escorted us to our rooms. He was also working the next night when we returned to the hotel after dinner. He spotted us coming through the lobby and literally ran over from the front desk, greeted us by name and asked if our room was acceptable and if there was anything he could do for us. The housekeeping staff are a bunch of ninjas. You never saw their carts in the hall but we’d leave in the morning and when we returned in the afternoon the room was made up. Perfectly. We’d leave for dinner and when we returned the room was turned down. Perfectly. We had drinks the first night at the Onyx Bar. When we returned the next night, the bartender remembered both our names and our drinks. We interacted on several occasions with the daytime concierge. I wish I remembered his name. It wasn’t just that he was knowledgeable about Zurich and responded immediately to our requests. He acted like speaking to us was the absolute highlight of his day. I know these are all little things but they added up to a wonderful stay. Plus, the hotel couldn’t be more conveniently located. Staying at the Park was a luxury item for us but, let’s face it, traveling anywhere in Switzerland is a luxury item. I would return to the Park for their level of personal service in a minute.

Ameron Zurich Bellerive au Lac

Ameron Zurich Bellerive au Lac

Seefeld Zurich|1.25km from Strandbad Mythenquai
We had a terrible experience on the second night of the stay: We went out for city tour in the morning and when we come back to the room in the afternoon, our room is like being robbed, 3 out of 4 suitcases are missing, the bathroom is only half way clean, balcony door left open, most clothes hanging in the wardrobe are missing. I called front office immediately and i have been told that housekeeping had found the door of wardrobe is broken and has a risk of falling, so for safety reason, therefore, they have transferred our suitcases to the new room. so here are the question: 1. Why there are only half of my belongings are being transferred to the new room? You either transferred all my belongings to the new room, but not just half of it, it is so scary when you back to your room which it is like a crime scene! 2. Is it normal for a luxury hotel to touch guest's personal belonging without permission of the guest? 3. If the hotel find it a safety issue inside the room, why do they still let the guest go into the room? That kind of put the guest in a dangerous environment that may get injured! 4. Have the hotel ever tried to contact the guest, by phone/email of such incident had happened in the room? or worst case, to stop me to get in to the room, when i passed by front desk before get back to the room? none of it had been done In short, this is not acceptable for any hotel, not talking about Ameron is a luxury brand, the hotel has poor risk management, this is my first time using this brand and I don't think there will be a second chance, terrible experience and even on the checked out date, no one care to ask how was my stay.

Small Luxury Hotel Ambassador Zurich

The Ambassador is a newly renovated hotel just off the lake in Zurich. Old town and shopping just minutes away. Train station and tour busses a 30-minute walk Staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable and clean. WiFi didn't work but got a passcode for the business WiFi instead. Television also had some issues (kept rebooting). But, we chalk that up to a new place. Everything else was great!

Hechtplatz Hotel - Self Check-IN
3.5/530 Reviews
This has to be the worst hotel I have stayed at in my life! Right from the very beginning I should have known what lied ahead. There is no reception desk. Check in is at the bar. There is no information posted anywhere and if you check in at a normal hour chances are you will find no one there to help. The lady who runs the place is nowhere to be found and guests are left to fend for themselves. We were there for 4 nights and not once did our room get cleaned. We ran out of toilet paper and clean towels and had to chase down the cleaning lady to get more. The room was a dirty mess from the minute we walked in. Dirty coffee cups, wrappers, and spoons from the previous occupants and we only got 1 towel apiece. The bed is right up by the bathroom door so if you’re standing next to the bed and someone walks out of the bathroom, you will get hit by the door every time. The elevator didn’t work properly and made a horrible noise until we were too afraid to use it anymore; sure enough, it stopped working. The cleaning lady was left to check people in since the owner sleeps in and doesn’t show up until late in the afternoon. Problem is, cleaning lady only speaks Spanish. We had to help her communicate with 3 separate couples who couldn’t understand her. They don’t have maps to help you get around the city and there is no one to ask. In a nutshell…DON’T stay at this hotel!!!! I cannot emphasize it enough! Pictures are deceiving.

Friendly and welcoming staff, communication is barrier-free. However, at the time of checkout, we paid the city tax in cash, but the employees did not figure out, and the credit card was swiped again. Fortunately, there was no departure, so that the staff canceled the order in time. The breakfast is very good. The bread is baked in the morning. The snacks are also hot food. It is fresh in the morning and is suitable for Chinese people. Modern facilities, Dyson hair dryer, free minibar, free capsule coffee, hot water bath, but the pillow is very soft and thin, my husband sleeps for one night... Hotel location is closer to the train station (not zurich hb station), but it takes 10-15 minutes to walk from Bahnhofstrasse. On the south side of the old town, there are coop and migros supermarkets nearby, but other restaurants suitable for Chinese tastes. less.
B2 Boutique Hotel + Spa

this review is very late in coming but I was looking at photos on my phone of when my husband and I traveled here last year and I felt compelled to write. First off , this trip was for our 30th anniversary and from beginning to end the hotel could not have treated with more kindness and unbeleiveable service. They had our room festooned with hearts and happy anniversary spelled out in roses. it was so sweet and very meaningful. Anyway that was just the beginning i can't begin to tell you how restorative the spa was with its roman like baths and moody lighting, we took our time in there and then went to the rooftop pool and luxuriating while the sun set. it was nothing short of perfection . The breakfast the next morning was unreal, a long buffet of the absolute more gourmet offerings displayed in such an attractive way all the while we enjoyed the super cool library and the ambience of that. The whole experience was sublime and I truly can't wait to go back to this fabulous place. Keep it up B2 you are a rock star among hotels !!!!
Boutique Hotel NI-MO

My family loved NI-M0 for our 2 night stay. The woman who greeted us was warm and friendly. Our room was beautiful and modern. There was no air conditioning, but the windows opened up and a nice breeze came in all night. Breakfast was delightful-yogurt, cheeses, meats, breads/pastures, cereal, muesli, fruits and beverages. There is a fridge in the common space filled with water (sparkling and still) that you can drink at any time. The location is perfect. A quick walk to the river, boats and Old Town. Plus there is a TIbits on the corner for a delightful vegetarian meal. We loved our time at this hotel.
