#weekendgetaways take a flight and fly to Seoul over the weekends Getting There - Myeongdong Subway station on Seoul Subway line No. 4 or subway line 2, Euljiro 1-ga Station shopping - a lot of shopping for the girls!! there’s a lot of street shopping as well as international brands. there are high end shopping like Chanel or Rolexes to affordable shopping like ABCmarts and street shopping where you can buy off push carts as well. skincare for the woman from olive young is really popular! cafes - there’s a cafe at every turn I love Seoul already! they accept both cash and card so shop away!

Onion? Onion
Went to the highly raved onion cafe in seoul. It took us 15-30 mins plus to get in and the staff were really nice. Food was amazing??!! The coffee is *chef kiss*, honestly so much better than sbux. They had a really nice range of interesting and creative pastries to try. Price wise; it isnt very expensive, comparable to usual cafe prices. To take note its really crowded as the anguk outlet is in the city and near major tourist attractions. The other is in a suburb (so its quieter). Recommend: If you enjoy cafe vibe, a foodie or just a curious cat. Do check them out. Cost: $$

Annyeonghaseyo (Hello) Seoul, Korea!
✈️From Kuala Lumpur to Seoul will took about 6hrs. Highlight of the trip: ❤️Nami Island: Absolutely beautiful no matter what time of the year you visit! You first need to purchase a ticket to to ride the ferry. The ferry is smooth with beautiful scenery. Once you arrive, you are free to explore. There is a really cool history about the island. Winter Sonata, a very famous K-drama was filmed there and they even have a statue for a photo opportunity. 🦀 King Crab: This is my first time eating such a big crab! I went to Noryangjin Fish Market through subway. Vendors offered with 60,000 to 35,000 won per kilo (2.2 lbs) for king crab. Price wise is quite expensive however the experience is even pricer! #solotravel

100 Must-Visit Korea Destinations! ✨ During my recent trip to Korea, I had the opportunity to visit one of the five palaces in Seoul. I took a photo at Gyeongbokgung Palace and was thrilled to have the experience of wearing a Hanbok in the country itself 🫶✨ I rented it for free because it was included with the Discovery Seoul Pass (I'll talk about it in the next post!) There are five palaces you can visit when you're in Korea, all located in Seoul (Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, and Gyeonghuigung Palace). 🥳 Wearing a Hanbok in Korea was already on my list 🌸💐 because it's not only stylish but also a memorable experience. Oh, by the way, Gyeongbok Palace is located north of Seoul (Gangbuk), South Korea. This palace is one of the five grand palaces built during the Joseon Dynasty, which you must have seen in Korean dramas, right? 🌼 The vibes here are truly different, and I loved how most people who visit this place also wear Hanbok. #seoul Cheongsudang Cafe is a charming Hanok-style cafe located in Ikseon-dong Hanok Village, just a short walk from Jongno 3-ga station. One of its distinctive features is the bamboo forest at the entrance, which creates a tranquil atmosphere and leads visitors through a path of stepping stones and lanterns to the main area of the cafe. Inside, customers can choose between several seating options, such as tatami mats or a main table adorned with plants as a centerpiece. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with wooden beams, traditional decorations, and soft lighting. However, it's worth noting that the cafe has a policy of requiring customers to order one drink and cake per person in order to dine there when I was there in October 2022.

Address: 21 Myeongdong 7-gil, Seoul, South Korea Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 11.30am to 10pm, Saturday & Sunday 12pm to 9pm A popular barbeque place inside Myeongdong and you might miss it if you are first timer here. It is located in the basement so you have to take the stairs down. You can locate Metro Hotel and then find Heuk Dong Ga from Jeju easily, it is a Jeju barbeque style restaurant and you will grill your own meat here. As always, a 2 persons order is minimum order and you can have free flow side dishes. Bukchon Hanok Village is a traditional Korean village located in the heart of Seoul, South Korea. It is known for its well-preserved hanok houses, which are traditional Korean houses characterized by their unique architectural style and use of natural materials. Situated between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, two of the main royal palaces from the Joseon Dynasty, the village was traditionally home to high-ranking government officials and nobility. The closest subway stations to Bukchon Hanok Village are Anguk Station (Line 3, Exit 2) and Jongno 3-ga Station (Line 1, Line 3, Line 5, Exit 1). Cafe Onion is one of the most well-known cafes in Korea. This is the Cafe Onion Anguk. Cafe Onion Anguk has a traditional architecture with a mix of modern elements. Known as the mix of past and present. We ordered their iconic signature, pandoro. I didn't find anything special in it tho lol We also had dark chocolate & maldon salt, salty caramel cake, and Olive Bacon. The pizza is good, try it. Their coffee is regular, we had cafe latte and cappucino. Overall experience, 6/10. Getting there: The nearest subway station is Anguk Station on Line 3. It’s a short walk from Exit 2/3. #seoultrip
