    The palace is so big. I was so impressed how people in the past could create this amazing works. Not to mention about the king, people who made such afford to support their respect, trust and love were so respectful. The palaces in the front seemed to be more beautiful from renovation while the latter are relatively aged. 👣 The main historical site in Beijing the former imperial palace is a large site so expect walk a lot, most of the sites are outside so weather is a factor to consider. A huge surface area, covered with buildings erected in a very particular and in the same time, traditional manner, extraordinary details and brilliant executed at their time. 👀 Tickets in advance and reservations are a must for your visit, pay attention to this detail a couple of days before. This historic place is unique, huge and beautiful. Mutianyu Great Wall section Address - The north suburban of Beijing, Huairou District, 75km away from the city center (around 2h by car) Highlights - The landscape, the cable cars to go up and the slide to go down the Wall. Of course -The Wall! Rating - 5/5 2. Olympic Park Address - No. 15 Beichen East Road, Chaoyang District, Beijng. Highlights - Bird’s Nest. They have shuttle buses for rides within the park. Rating - 5/5 3. Summer Palace Address - 19 Xinjiangongmen Rd, Hai Dian Qu, China Highlights - The boat ride through the lagoon (route #2 is slightly longer).     #timetotravel October 2020 Mutianyu Great Wall Beijing This was one of my most memorable travel experiences in China. I had only seen the Great Wall in books or on videos, and when I was finally there, it felt surreal (I was super happy and had butterflies in my stomach 😅😁). I took a lot of photos there, of course😎. Getting There - The Great Wall is very far from the city center and it’s best to book a guided tour to the Great Wall. It’s going to be hassle free and most tours include a free lunch of traditional Chinese dishes. Food & Restaurants - There are a few restaurants near the entrance, but only a few stalls as you enter.   • A Must SEE in Beijing 🇨🇳

    #timetotravel I have been to 3 different parts of the Great Wall and this one was the first! I never get enough of the great wall to be honest, i am just always amazed to see it's beauty and knowing more about it everytime I go visit it. This Mutiayu area of the great wall is less crowded and less commercialized. You can still see the authenticity of the greatwall without all of the renovated sections. It has undergone less restoration work so for me this is better than the other section of the great wall in Beijing. It is farther but for me it didn't matter because I just wanted to see different parts of the greatwall of China. Entrance fee: 40 rmb addtional payment if you are going to take the cable car and do the slide (tobogan ride) down.     The autumn wind is bleak, and it takes half an hour to get to Badaling from Qinghe Railway Station early in the morning. After a short rest and breakfast, we started to visit the scenic area. Climbing up, I feel relaxed and happy, and my mind travels thousands of miles. I admire the greatness of the ancients. They left valuable wealth for future generations. The mountains are overlapping, and the red leaves are flying. All kinds of troubles disappear like smoke in thin air. It took about 3 hours to finish climbing, and I didn't take the cable car, but walked back. In the afternoon, I strolled around and bought some Yanqing apples, which are produced in Zhangjiaying, Yanqing. It is said that they taste good, they are geographical indication products, let the children taste them.

    #timetotravel 🗓️ January 19, 2023 🇨🇳 ❄️ A trip to China wouldn't be complete without seeing the Badaling Great Wall, even in winter. During my vacation, my friends and I braved the cold, but the freezing temperatures led us to modify our plans. We settled for photos from the first level. The views were breathtaking, starting from the bus ride to Badaling. 🚌 Getting There: We took a public bus from downtown, which was both cost-effective and convenient. 😔 Though we didn't complete the full climb, the Great Wall's grandeur left a lasting impression. I plan to return under better weather conditions for the full experience. #chinatravel #badaling #bucketlist

    When it comes to Beijing, some would think overpopulation and pollution. I saw the magnificent Great Wall with pride and beautiful park packed with laughters, rich in culture and history. There are so many different variety of foods to enjoy each meal and I was spoil choices between on great meal with another equally delicious meal. It is a must visit for me and I am already looking forward to coming back to his city again.

    #beijingtrip A visit to China is not complete without visiting the impressive Great Wall of China. One of the marvels made by man is the Great Wall of China. It is the embodiment of this description. A marvel for the right of the highest mountains. The wall is based on stones brought from the bottom of the valley. The Chinese man performed the miracle, as did the Egyptian and Iraqi people. The length of the Great Wall of China covers 9 provinces and its total length is 6,700 km. It can be reached from 10 outlets between the desert or mountainous areas to the plains, but for tourists there are 5 main outlets, each of which has its advantages and disadvantages to visit the wall. After research, I found that the Mutianyu section is the most popular among foreign travelers. It is the most suitable section for children and is located 73 km from Beijing. It takes 1.5-2 hours to drive to reach and the same to return. I recommend going there early in the morning and spending at least 2 hours there But I arrived in the middle of the afternoon and fortunately there was no crowd of tourists and we were able to take wonderful pictures . The experience of climbing the Great Wall of China was a very exciting experience . The weather was very nice and a little hot . The area is completely green . The scenery is amazing . We used the cable car to go up.. The open cable car is somewhat uncomfortable.. Especially upon arrival you have to jump from it to get out.. And the screams of the staff urging you to rush make you feel confused, especially if you rode it for the first time in your life. The second time for me it was simple.but it It is not simple for the elderly, so I advise them to use the closed cable car. To get off there is another way than the cable car. It is to ride a cart through slippery, fast channels. It is like a children’s slide. We enjoyed the experience very much and repeated it twice. A great edifice and beautiful ancient stones...a place worth visiting

    This is one of my favorite places that I had the possibility to visit across my trip in China, It is so wonderfully and magnificently designed that it seems out of this world. And it was probably even more many years ago when it wasn't crowded with tourists. It looks unreal from outside and inside and resembles a vessel taking you directly to or communicating with Heaven or wherever whichever dimension or space time. This art and display of timeless imagination seems to have been lost many decades ago. And it is beatifully conserve so that we can see this wonder and wonder about it. #beijingtrip

    #beijingtrip More than marketing. More than all the developments, the nostalgic feeling of the place is gone. It is still worth a visit because it is one of the main sites in Beijing, China. Visit the Temple of Heaven, or the Temple of Heaven, which symbolizes the relationship between earth and heaven. It stands at the heart of Chinese cosmogony, where the Ming and Qing dynasties used to offer sacrifices to heaven and pray for a good harvest... and it is considered The temple is now a symbol of Beijing. It is expected to date back to the year 1420. It is surrounded by a beautiful green garden with perennial trees. You can spend a nice time in it in good weather. We had a full day tour with the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace. We loved every second of this tour and the Temple of Heaven was so big and beautiful. We are glad to have the memories and photos from this historical place. It was not as crowded here as it was in the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace For those who want to experience the comfort of paradise, coming to this place is heaven in the true sense of the word. I love this place and hope to come back whenever another chance is presented

  • Best shrimp in Beijing 🍤

    I finally got a chance to try out Bubba Gump in China at the Citywalk by the entrance of universal studios in Beijing. It’s the only Bubba Gump in mainland China and it is worth a trip. We had lunch here before entering universal with an afternoon pass and we were not disappointed. They have shrimps as the main food and they prepare it in many different ways. This is an American chain and I’ve tried it in Miami before. The restaurant was very big and spacious. You can also get some souvenir in their shop. #goodfoods #shrimp

  • Halloween 🎃 vibes at Universal Studios

    #fallingseason We had an epic afternoon in the park. Universal have already started the Halloween season with lots of beautiful and scary decorations around the park. You can even have Halloween food at different locations around the park. The park was not that crowded at a Tuesday afternoon so there was no lines for any of the rides so we actually managed to do so much in short time. We had the afternoon pass and managed to take a few rides in the Jurassic park are before the parade at 15:00, the parade is a lot of fun actually with lots of happy faces singing and dancing. After the parade we did the Decepticoaster in the transformer area. It was extremely thrilling and fun. WaterWorld stunt show was very nice before we jaded to Harry Potter land. The perfect afternoon was finished with some really good Halloween meatballs for dinner.

    #beijingtrip Although my exposures to theme parks are quite limited, I have had my share of fun 😉 & experience of these amusement parks 🎢🎡 With that in mind, when I visited Universal studios in Beijing it instantly captured my attention and got me going with no track of time 😁 Especially when I entered the Harry Potter castle 🏰 it was quite nostalgic and I saw the castle 🏯 the same way I watched the movie without blink of my eyes 😆. Also to up the mood, people who came to the theme park also were quite dressed up as team Griffindos with the magic 🪄 wand. Also I would highly suggest to take the magic ride inside the castle which was pure adrenaline rush. It's unequivocally one of the best theme parks in China! #tripblazers#urbanexplorer#ukcreator

  • Universal Studios Beijing.

    Lots of genuine fun! Loved the Hollywood themed entrance. The coffee's at the Hollywood café were a great way to start the day. If I can give any advice, it's to check out all the areas first and only go on the rides that have a low waiting time instead of wasting your time in long lines. I noticed that the lines that were long earlier in the day, were shorter later on, so you can always go back and ride when the line is shorter. The place is really beautiful at night, especially Harry Potter world, so don't go home early or you'll miss it. I recommend staying in the James Joyce hotel, it's close and quite reasonable. They have complimentary coffee at the desk. The hotel has a cool retro theme, and a Harry Potter set up downstairs where you can hire some witch and wizard costumes. They also have a shuttle to Universal that runs once a day. #universalstudios #nomadlifestyle #themepark #beijingtrip
