Beddgelert, North Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I visited a picturesque Welsh village in Snowdonia. The village is steeped in history and legend, with a story associated with a medieval Prince Llywelyn's hound named Gelert. The story is eye-watering and the village was named after the prince's dog. Beddgelert means Gelert's grave and indeed there is a place in the village known as the Irish hound dog's grave. Another must-see is the train station. Time stopped here 100 years ago and the local heritage railway offers a journey in time through picturesque Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. Historic steam locomotive and carriages apparently provide a magical experience. I'm looking forward 🤞 to be a passenger one day 🤗#northwales #wales #beddgelert #mountain_railway #welsh_railway
