Beijing Day trip - fresh mountain air ⛰️

Baipu temple We managed to go on a perfect blue sky day when Beijing was really showing its best self. It is about 84km from Sanlitun area in Beijing and we took a mini van to get there for a day trip. It’s located in the west of Beijing in Mentougou district. It took us about 2 hours to go and a little more to come back because of the traffic. The signature building is as cool in real life as it is on pictures. Absolutely worth a trip if you like taking pictures and walk around. The place is surrounded by mountain and there are a few hikes you can do in the area. In my group of friends some of us went up to one of the peaks and some of us relaxed by the temple. Although it’s a long drive to get there it was completely worth it in my opinion. Have been wanting to go for a long time and finally founds some friends that came along. We were recommended to bring our own food so we had a picnic in the sun outside a very nice tea restaurant. They let us eat our food as long as we bought some drinks. 2-3 hours is enough time to walk around. #visitbeijing #beijing #temple #weekend #awesomepic #Baiputemple
